Zoular, 2-year-old colt (Zoustar x Solar Sister {More Than Ready {USA}})
A son of Widden Stud’s Zoustar, Zoular, will debut on Sunday on the Sunshine Coast. The locally based Stuart Kendrick trains the August-born colt.
Zoular is the sole foal of the More Than Ready (USA) mare, Solar Sister, who passed away carrying to Vinery Stud’s Ole Kirk. She raced three times without success but is a sister to the G1 Australian Guineas victor Lunar Fox, the son of Foxwedge, also claimed the G2 Sires’ Produce.

Solar Sister and Lunar Fox are the progeny of the Malibu Moon (USA) mare Grant’s Moon (USA). She won seven times, including the Listed Timonium Alma North S. and placegetter in the Listed Laurel Maryland Million Lassie S.
Zoular was a $150,000 purchase by Stuart Kendrick from the draft of Valiant Stud at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Blitzum, 2-year-old gelding (Strasbourg x Strykum {Stryker})
Eagle Farm-based trainer Chris Anderson will unveil Blitzum on Sunday at the Sunshine Coast. Blitzum is a 2-year-old gelding by Rosemont Stud’s first-season sire Strasbourg, who has had a winner from only a handful of runners to the track.
Blitzum is the first fourth foal from the Stryker mare Strykum. She won two races, including the Listed Queen Adelaide S. and was fourth in the G3 National S.

Strykum is related to Rinky Dink, a daughter of the tremendous sire Distorted Humor (USA). She was one of the former WinStar Farm sire’s most accomplished runners in Australasia, winning six races including the G1 Australasian Oaks, the Listed Ottawa S. and the Listed Tasmanian Oaks.
Rinky Dink has produced the G2 QTC Cup and the G3 Carbine Club S. victor Galah, a son of Redoute’s Choice.
Blitzum was a $220,000 purchase by DGR Thoroughbred Services (FBAA) and Chris Anderson Racing from the draft of The Chase at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Looking Back
Saturday's selection, Move To Strike (I Am Invincible), was an impressive winner on debut at Te Rapa in New Zealand. While in Australia, Amazing Eagle (Capitalist) was placed at Rosehill, rounding out our selections was the Written Tycoon filly Little Stirrer, who finished fourth at Caulfield.
