Coolmore bred this colt who is the second foal of a two-time winner.
Pelican’s (NZ) (Fastnet Rock) first foal is the talented 2-year-old Storm Boy (Justify {USA}). He is the favourite for the R. Listed Magic Millions 2YO Classic, having won his two starts, including the G3 BJ McLachlan S.
Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott Racing/Kestrel Thoroughbreds paid $460,000 for Storm Boy from the Coolmore Stud draft at the corresponding sale 12 months ago.
A half-sister to the Group 3 placegetter Divan (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}), Pelican is a daughter of the top-class mare Seachange (NZ) (Cape Cross {Ire}) - a seven-time winner in top company.

Lot 65 - Savabeel x Purcentage (Onemorenomore), colt - on account of The Chase
China Horse Club Racing bred this colt who is the sixth foal of the Onemorenomore mare Purcentage, a winner at two that also placed in Listed company. Purcentage is a half-sister to Spurrendous (Shamardal {USA}) - a winner at two and a Group 2 placegetter.
The colt is a half-brother to the handy mare Revolutionary Miss (Russian Revolution) - a two-time Group 2 victress. Since the catalogue was released, she has added a third stakes win (in the G3 Summoned S. at The Valley).
The Listed scorer Equation (Press Statement) is also a half-sibling to this colt.
Other stakes winners on the colt’s page include Spurcent (Flying Spur), Glorious Days (Hussonet {USA}) and Bangalore Bullet (Hussonet {USA}).

Lot 197 - Capitalist x Single Sapphire (Not A Single Doubt), colt - on account of Newgate Farm
Prominent breeder Belinda Bateman bred both this colt and his 2-year-old brother Customized (Capitalist). The latter is trained by Peter and Paul Snowden and was third on debut behind Storm Boy in the G3 BJ McLachlan S. at Doomben last month.
Customized was knocked down to the James Harron Bloodstock Colt Partnership for $400,000 at this sale last year where that colt was also consigned by Newgate Farm.
The colt’s second dam, Royal Sapphire (O’Reilly {NZ}), was a half-sister to the Group 2 scorer Twilight Royale (Testa Rossa) and the stakes performers Superhard (All Too Hard) and Mio Roiale (Tale Of The Cat {USA}).
