Beyond his dam, there are a number of quality performers present on the page, including a number of speedy types, including the G3 Gimcrack S. victress Live To Tell (Territories {Ire}) and the G1 Emirates S. winner Divine Madonna (Hurricane Sky). The strength doesn’t cease as the distance range escalates beyond 1400 metres, with the G3 Ethereal S. heroine Autumn Angel (The Autumn Sun) and the G3 Lord Mayor’s Cup winner Angel Of Mercy (Hussonet {USA}) also related.
Speaking to The Thoroughbred Report at the conclusion of selling on Day 4, Joe Curran of Curran Bloodstock explained how the colt came to be in his sights to purchase.
“Firstly, he was by So You Think, who is a champion stallion, when he got three Group 1 winners on one day, over the Championships at the carnival at (Royal) Randwick, he stamped himself as a world-class stallion.

“I’ve been very attracted to So You Think from that day on, he (Lot 800) was born and bred at Mill Park in South Australia, and they’ve got a long history of breeding champion horses.
“As a physical specimen, he was one of the best moving horses on the ground, a lighter framed (son of) So You Think, but his feet didn’t touch the ground, he was a magic mover, and he had an exceptional temperament.”
Curran elaborated on the selection process that helped them land this colt at the price, saying, “We just try to identify athletic horses, and he just fitted that bill.

“He was an athlete first, and then we looked at where he was bred and his breeding as well. Obviously, he’s by So You Think, but he’s out of a mare that could run a bit.
“The mare is called It’s A Myth, who was stakes placed, and secondly he is the third foal for the mare.
“He’ll be given some time off after the sale, to catch his breath, and then he’ll be broken in (race educated).
“He doesn’t look (like) an early running type, but he’ll be given plenty of time. The So You Thinks are typically not early 2-year-olds, so he’s probably likely to come out as a late autumn or winter next year type 2-year-old.”
