Lot 195 - I'm All The Talk x Zouling, bay colt, $17,500
Buyer: Trevor Andrews, WA
Vendor: Gervase Park Stud
Hailing from the final crop of the G3 Skyline S. winner I'm All The Talk, this colt caught trainer Trevor Andrews' eye even before he headed to the sales.
“We loved him during our pre-sale inspections,” Andrews said, describing the mid-August born bay as “a really good type who we thought would be a lot dearer”, and a horse Andrews was able to quickly sell on to owners.
“These cheaper horses always sell quickly,” he said, happily taking the punt on a horse who did have an issue.
“I think if he'd been perfect he would've been a six-figure colt, so we are happy to take the risk.
“He is by a really good stallion out of a Zoustar mare from a good family and he has the looks in support of his pedigree.”
“He is (Lot 195) by a really good stallion out of a Zoustar mare from a good family and he has the looks in support of his pedigree.” - Trevor Andrews
Bred by the Gales family, he is the second foal produced by the the Tamworth winner Zouling (Zoustar) whose first foal Zouconi (Nicconi) is a member of the Grant and Alana Williams stable - purchased by them and Suman Hedge for $120,000 at the same sale last year.
Served last year by Splintex after foaling a Playing God colt in mid-August, Zouling is out of the Canterbury winner Whatever Happens (Redoute's Choice) whose dam is the Listed Waltzing Lily H. winner Happen (Zeditave).
That mare was represented by another seven winners including the stakes placed One In A Million (Redoute's Choice) who has done a great job producing three stakes winners - the dual Group 2 winning sprinter Haut Brion Her (Zoustar), the G3 D.C McKay S. winner Karacatis (Hussonet {USA}) and the Listed Australia Post S. winner Shamillion (Shamardal {USA}).

Stakes winners Major (Zeditave) and Lightinthenite (Galileo {Ire}) also hail from this family.
The Gary Portelli trained I'm All The Talk - who died in early 2022 - was Western Australia's Champion 2YO and 3YO Sire and Champion First and Second Season Sire. He has had only 82 runners, 56 of whom are winners including the stakes winners Watch Me Dance and All Banter.
