The catalogue for the 2024 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling went online on April 4 2024, and since then, a host of yearlings that will be offered at Riverside Stable have had their pedigrees enhanced, which is important information for vendors and buyers alike.

Lot 24 - Written Tycoon x Fast Talker (Fastnet Rock), colt - on account of Widden Stud

Lot 24 is a son of Written Tycoon, who recently sired his second G1 Golden Slipper winner with Lady Of Camelot.

Not only is this colt’s sire in fabulous form but so is the family. Lot 24 is a half-brother to the dual Group 1 victress Zougotcha (Zoustar). In March, the Chris Waller-trained mare secured her second elite-level victory in the G1 Coolmore Classic.

Fast Talker’s sire, Fastnet Rock, adds further lustre to the family. The Coolmore Stud mainstay has been excelling on all fronts. Lady Of Camelot is bred on the same cross as this colt.

Lot 170 - Snitzel x Ms Bad Behavior (Can) (Blame {USA}), colt - on account of Arrowfield Stud

Arrowfield Stud will present a full brother to Switzerland, who has won the G2 Todman S. since the catalogue went to print.

Tom Magnier spent $1.5 million last year at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale to secure Switzerland from Arrowfield Stud. The Chris Waller-trained colt won three of his four starts. He was unplaced in the G1 Golden Slipper S.

It was recently disclosed that Switzerland will miss the remainder of the autumn carnival and undergo surgery to remove a bone chip in his fetlock.

Lot 51 - Zoustar x Granny Red Shoes (Not A Single Doubt), colt - on account of Segenhoe Stud

Widden Stud’s Zoustar has enjoyed a fruitful start to the year. He has sired his 50th stakes winner recently and will be represented by a strong cohort of yearlings.

Among them is Lot 51, a colt offered by Segenhoe Stud. The colt is the third foal from the stakes-winning Not A Single Doubt mare Granny Red Shoes.

Her second foal, High Octane (Deep Field), won the Listed Blue Diamond Preview (Colts and Geldings) since the catalogue ink ran dry on sale pedigrees.

He was a $1.05 million purchase by China Horse Club, Newgate, Go Bloodstock and Trilogy from the draft of Segenhoe Stud at last year’s Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
