Pedigree Boosters: Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale

2 min read
Ahead of the 2024 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, we have found three yearlings who have had substantial pedigree updates over the past couple of months.

Lot 260 - Maurice (Jpn) x Sarraqa (Snitzel), colt - on account of Arrowfield Stud

Lot 260 received a substantial update with his half-brother Celestial Legend’s (Dundeel {NZ}) victory in the G1 Randwick Guineas in March. The Les Bridge-trained 3-year-old also secured success in the G2 Hobartville S. earlier in the autumn.

Celestial Legend graduated from Arrowfield Stud’s 2022 Inglis Classic Yearling draft, where Legend Racing and Avenue Bloodstock paid $220,000.

Lot 327 - Russian Revolution x Summer Fun (I Am Invincible), colt - on account of Kia Ora Stud

Kia Ora Stud will present Lot 327, a colt by Newgate Farm’s Group 1 producing sire Russian Revolution.

The colt is the fourth foal from the I Am Invincible mare Summer Fun. Her second foal, Kimochi (Brave Smash {Jpn}), won the G2 Light Fingers S. in February and then was recently placed in the G1 Coolmore Classic behind the older mares in March.

Lot 499 - Exceedance x Dublin Lass (O'Reilly {NZ}), filly - on account of Alma Vale/Kitchwin Hills Partnership

This daughter of Exceedance is a full sister to the Tony and Calvin McEvoy-trained Dublin Down. She was a $100,000 pinhook from the Edinburgh Park dispersal.

Dublin Down was impressive in the spring, winning the G3 Maribyrnong Plate.

He returned in the autumn, taking out the G3 Pago Pago S. at Rosehill to give this filly a strong pedigree update, before an unplaced effort in the G1 Golden Slipper S.
