Good to the line getting up along the inside of her rivals, Fall For Cindy (NZ) (Sacred Falls {NZ}) defied a rise in class to make it two wins in a row - and five overall from 15 starts.

A home-bred for Garry Chittick, she is the 11th stakes winner for her late sire. Her unraced dam Cindy Cee (NZ) (Savabeel) is a half-sister to the G2 Isuzu S. winner Sports Illustrated (NZ) (Fast 'N' Famous) out of the Group 2 placed dual city winner Pin Up (NZ) (Pins).

Not served last spring having foaled a colt by Ardrossan and the year before that a filly by Tivaci (sold for $40,000 at Karaka this year), Cindy Cee is a granddaughter of Flying Floozie (NZ) (Pompeii Court {USA}) - dam of the globe-trotting five times Group 1 winner Starcraft (NZ) who was also bred by Garry Chittick.

The fourth Sacred Falls stakes winner (from 47 runners/32 winners) out of a Savabeel mare, Fall For Cindy is the sixth stakes winner line-bred to Pompeii Court.

Listed Woodlands S., $200,000, 1100m

Getting the upperhand late after engaging in a late battle with Satin Stiletto (Written Tycoon), Lazzura (Snitzel) remains undefeated after this gutsy performance at just her second start.

Bred by Arrowfield and Jungle Pocket, she was sold by Arrowfield to B2B Thoroughbreds for $500,000 at last year's Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

The 143rd stakes winner for her Champion Sire, she is the second stakes performer for the imported Laguna Azzurra (Jpn) (Heart's Cry {Jpn}) whose 3-year-old daughter Portorosa (Not A Single Doubt) was third in last year's Listed Lonhro Plate. She is lot 516 at the upcoming Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.

Again served by Snitzel last spring, Laguna Azzurra missed the previous season with her yearling being a daughter of The Autumn Sun. Laguna Azzurra is out of the triple Listed winner Silky Lagoon (Jpn) (Brian's Time {USA}), also dam of the dual Group 3 winner Seewind (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}).

Lazzura boasts nice female line-breeding with crosses of Flower Bowl (USA) (Alibhai {GB}), Natalma (USA) (Native Dancer {USA}), Almahmoud (USA) (Mahmoud {Fr]) and Busanda (USA) (War Admiral {USA}).

Listed Denise's Joy S., $200,000, 1100m

Godolphin home-bred Commemorative (I Am Invincible) looked to have a bit in hand with this smart performance, recording her third win from seven starts and her first in stakes company.

The 108th stakes winner for her Yarraman Park based Champion Sire, she is out of the Group 2 placed city winner Memorial (Street Cry {Ire}) whose dam Mnemosyne (Encosta de Lago) won the G1 1000 Guineas and the G1 Queen Of The Turf S.

Also dam of the multiple city winner Contemporary (Exceed And Excel), Memorial was served last spring by Brazen Beau having missed the previous season. She has a Lonhro yearling colt called Cenotaph whilst her 2-year-old Photograph (Blue Point {Ire}) has run nicely at his first two starts.

Mnemosyne did a great job at stud with the dual Group 1 winner Impending, the Group 3 winner Forget (Exceed And Excel) and the Listed winner Epidemic (Lonhro) and she is also grandam of the G1 Blue Diamond S. winner Lyre (Lonhro).Bred on a 3 X 4 cross of Canny Lad, Commemorative is the third I Am Invincible stakes winner out of a Street Cry mare, a cross which has had nine winners from ten runners. And it is a similar cross to that which produced Imperatriz whose dam is by Street Cry's close relation Shamardal (USA).

Listed Ortensia S., $200,000, 1100m

It was a quinella for Swettenham Stud's Rubick with his daughters Opal Ridge and Quick Tempo game to the line, the winner recording her third Listed victory.

Bred by the Alchin family and sold by Carramar Park to Ryan Hunt for $20,000 at the 2021 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, she is one of Rubick's twelve stakes winners.

She is the first foal for the city placed three times winner dam Chadana (Myboycharlie {Ire}) who was served last spring by Stronger having slipped her previous foal - her latest being the yet to race 2-year-old Platinum Ridge (Headwater) who is also a member of the Luke Pepper stable.

Chadana is a half-sister to the G3 Adrian Knox S. winner Candelera (Real Saga) out of the city placed three times winner Jadana (Jade Hunter {USA}), a daughter of the G3 Emancipation S. winner Star County (County).

A descendant of the famed matriarch Cinna (GB) (Polymelus {GB}), the G1 Tattersalls Tiara bound Opal Ridge boasts duplications of four fine mares with seven generations - Lalun (USA) (Djeddah {Fr}), River Lady (USA) (Prince John {USA}), Natalma (USA) (Native Dancer {USA}) and Thong (USA) (Nantallah USA}).

Listed Luskin Star S., $200,000, 1300m

Holding on gamely having taken the lead with 300 metres to go, Coastwatch (Fastnet Rock) was in the winner's circle for the first time since taking out the G2 Autumn S. at Caulfield in February 2022.Coastwatch (who spent time in Hong Kong - trialling but not racing) is one of the 193 stakes winners sired by his recently retired Coolmore Stud sire.

Bred by Cobra Bloodstock, he is out of the city winner Bullion Mansion (Encosta de Lago) whose son Mighty Boss (Not A Single Doubt) won the 2017 G1 Caulfield Guineas.

A $750,000 purchase for Mulcaster Bloodstock at the 2020 William Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, Coastwatch was sold on to his current owners for $500,000 via an Inglis digital sale in May 2022.

Also a half-brother to the stakes placed Shiralee (Stratum), he has as his grandam the G1 Australasian Oaks winner La Volta (Laranto) who is also grandam of the Group 2 gallopers Catch A Fire (Sebring) and Seaburge (Sebring).

Served last spring by St Mark's Basilica (Fr) after foaling a So You Think (NZ) Colt, Bullion Mansion lost her previous foal with her 2-year-old filly by Pierro an entry in next week's Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale (Lot 425).

Flemington: Listed Andrew Ramsden, $500,000, 2800m

Earning herself a G1 Melbourne Cup berth with a smart win in this 2800 metres staying test, The Map (Alpine Eagle) made it two in a row having bolted in with the G3 Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Morphettville a couple of weeks ago.

Bred by MG Crossin and RA Sadek, she was sold by Armidale Stud - home to her G2 Autumn S. winning sire - to Oopy MacGillivray for $35,000 at the 2020 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale.One of Alpine Eagle's two stakes winners, The Map is out of the durable race mare This Moment (Savoire Vivre) who won nine races in Tasmania and Melbourne. Three of her first four foals to race are winners and she has more to come - served last spring by Quick Thinker having produced a full sister to The Map last August.

Her 2-year-old, another full sister, has been called On The Map and is also a member of the Dan Clarken and Oopy MacGillivray stable.

This Moment is a full sister to the triple Listed winner Iggimacool and the stakes placed five times winner Love The Moment out of the winner Hidden Homent (Ladoni {GB}) whose stakes placed dam Midori Miss (Top Of The Pack) is dam of the G3 Tasmanian Derby winner Father Floyd (Weasel Clause) and grandam of Methuselah (Savoire Vivre) - winner of that same race.

The Map's sire Alpine Eagle and dam sire Savoire Vivre are bred on the same Sadler's Wells (USA)/Kris (GB) cross and she is also line-bred to the terrific mares Special (USA) (Forli {Arg}) and Mixed Marriage (GB) (Tudor Minstrel {Ire}).

Listed Straight Six, $175,000, 1200m

Racing in great form with two nice wins in a row, Who Dares (Deep Field) is the newest stakes winner - the 30th - for his retired Newgate sire.

Bred by Hillcrest Nominees, he is one of only two foals for the two times winner Orvassa (Equiano {Fr}) who died two years ago with her final foal a colt by Deep Field's son Cosmic Force. Orvassa is a half-sister to the stakes placed Riverina Cyclone (Frosted {USA}) out of the placed Plus Jamais (Redoute's Choice) whose dam is the Group 1 placed Nevermore (USA) (Unbridled {USA}).

Who Dares' fourth dam is the Listed winner Teewinot (USA) (Vice Regent {Can}) and his fifth dam is the Listed winner Double The Charm (USA) (Nodouble {USA}).

Listed Rangitikei Cup

It was a sixth win from just ten starts for the classy and consistent mare Islington Lass (NZ) (Proisir).

A home-bred for R. Todd, she is stakes winner number 18 for her Rich Hill based sire and the second stakes performer for her winning dam Miss Relentless (NZ) (Montjeu {Ire}).

Also dam of the Group 3 placed multiple city winner Alhambra Lad (NZ) (Proisir) and the eight times winner The Growler (NZ) (Darci Brahma {NZ}), she died last year with her final foal being a filly by Satono Aladdin (Jpn).
