Two exciting runners are set to hit the track across Australia on Sunday, including a well-bred Russian Revolution colt chasing maiden success at Swan Hill after showing some solid form and an Almanzor (Fr) filly that is out of a half-sister to Luxembourg (Ire) debuting at the Phar Lap Raceway in Timaru.

Revalene, 3-year-old colt (Russian Revolution x Emmalene {Jet Spur)
Swan Hill’s Sunday meeting will serve as the venue for Revalene’s fourth start after running two good placings from three starts in his first preparation.
Revalene is by Newgate Farm’s sire in Russian Revolution and has a strong international pedigree with his pedigree full of influential stallions including Redoute’s Choice, Miswaki (USA), Stravinsky (USA), Danehill (USA), Sunday Silence (USA) and Sackford (USA).
His dam Emmalene (Jet Spur) was a four-time winner on the track from 1000 metres to 1200 metres which included the Listed Gucci S., As a breeder she has left three winners including the classy sprinter King Kapa (Capitalist) who has won six-times including the Listed Hinkler H., her other winners have been the three-time winner and Listed placed Churning (Lonhro) and the five-time winner Vici (I Am Invincible).

Emmalene is also a sister to Pickabee (Jet Spur) who was Listed placed and a five-time winner, she has since produced the very smart sprinter Uncommon James (Cable Bay {GB}) who was first past-the-post in the G1 Oakleigh P., Listed Regal Roller H., and the Listed Oxlade S., He has also placed in the G1 Galaxy H., G1 Manikato S., G1 AJ Moir S., G2 Schillaci S., and the G2 Rubiton S.
Emmalene since producing Revalene has left a two-year-old filly named Queen Aria (Pariah) who at this stage is unraced, a yearling gelding named The Crimson Pirate (Trapeze Artist), and was most recently served by Maurice (Jpn) last spring.
Revalene was a $160,000 purchase by First Light Racing/Busuttin Racing from the draft of Newgate Farm at the 2022 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.

Dujour (NZ), 3-year-old filly (Almanzor (Fr) x High Vogue (Ire) {High Chaparral {Ire})
The promising Dujour (NZ) (Almanzor {Fr}) is set to make her debut for Riccarton based trainer David Medcalfe at Timaru on the back of two trials leading up to this race. At her last trial she won impressively over 1200 metres at Ashburton on May 14.
Dujour is a daughter of Cambridge Stud’s shuttling stallion in Almanzor (Fr) and is out of the High Chaparral (Ire) unraced mare High Vogue (Ire).
High Vogue has an outstanding international pedigree, she is a half sister to one of the current stars of Northern Hemisphere racing in Luxembourg (Ire) (Camelot {GB}) he recently become a rare commodity as he has now managed Group 1 wins at the age of two, three, four and now five.
Almanzor (Fr) | Standing at Cambridge Stud
His record includes wins in the G1 Futurity S., G1 Irish Champion S., G1 Coronation Cup, G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup, G2 Beresford S and the G3 Royal Whip S., He has also managed placings in the G1 Prince Of Wales S., G1 Two Thousand Guineas, G1 Irish Champion S., and the G1 Hong Kong Cup.
High Vogue is also a half-sister to the Group winning Leo De Fury (Ire) (Australia {GB}) and the Group placed Sense Of Style (Ire) (Zoffany {Ire}) and Hiawatha (Ire) (Camelot).
Hi Vogue since producing Dujour has been well-bred to a range of different stallions by the Cambridge Stud owners B J Lindsay MNZM and Mrs J E A Lindsay. She has left a two-year-old colt by Impending, a yearling colt by Ocean Park (NZ), a weanling colt by the G1 two year-old winning son of Snitzel in Sword Of State and was most recently served by him again last spring.
Looking Back:
Bound To Be (NZ) (Reliable Man {GB}) was disappointing at Ruakaka running eighth.
Markdel (Snitzel) ran a good race at Flemington placing fourth, down the straight he ended up in the wrong part of the track but fought on well.
Vinniro (I Am Invincible) ran a solid race at Randwick, he was trapped wide throughout and battled on well for fourth.
