We are looking for a person who has passion at the heart of all practice. Someone with passion in their role, is enthusiastic in their approach, has led before and wants to grow even more in their ability of leadership.

Prima Park, a premier thoroughbred training facility dedicated to excellence in thoroughbred development, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head Breaking-In and Pre-Training manager to lead our team.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced professional passionate about preparing young horses for their racing careers. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of breaking-in and pre-training, ensuring our horses are given the best possible start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the breaking-in program with a focus on the highest standards of horse care, welfare and training.

• Communicate progress regularly with the head trainer.

• Ensure all horse handling is conducted with safety, professionalism, and welfare as a priority.

• Maintain accurate records and schedules.

• Supervise the use of facilities, equipment, and resources effectively.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in breaking-in thoroughbred horses.

• Strong horsemanship skills and the ability to manage young, inexperienced horses with patience and skill.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• A thorough understanding of equine welfare and safety standards.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
