The catalogue for the 2025 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale was released on December 8, 2024. Since then, a host of yearlings that will go through the ring at Inglis Oaklands have had their pedigrees enhanced, which is important information for vendors and buyers alike.
Lot 18 - Blue Point (Ire) x Affair To Remember (Toronado {Ire}), colt - on account of Mill Park Stud
Dam is a half-sister to the dam of Group 2 winner Angel Capital.
This well-related colt already has a family steeped in black type; his dam Affair To Remember (Toronado {Ire}) was a Group 2 winner on the track, out of multiple Listed-winning St Trinians (Black Hawk {GB}), whose other prominent daughter is Group 1-placed Bahamas (Teofilo {Ire}). Angel Capital (Harry Angel {Ire}) is just one of three stakes winners she has produced so far.
Already the winner of the G3 Caufield Guineas Prelude, 3-year-old colt Angel Capital returned in fine form in early February to win the G2 Autumn Stakes to extend his record to four wins in seven starts and over $600,000 in prize money. Clinton McDonald has accepted him to race this Saturday in the G1 Australian Guineas at Flemington to see if he can’t take his record one step further. He was a $400,000 graduate from this same sale in 2023 when purchased by Upper Bloodstock and G Ho, and will start in the Yulong Investments colours for the first time this Saturday.
His half-brother, 5-year-old gelding Berkeley Square (Territories {Ire}) added another Listed race to his record in December when winning the Listed Ballarat Cup.

Lot 56 - Blue Point (Ire) x Badia (Snitzel), filly - on account of Twin Hills Stud
Filly is a half-sister to winning juvenile Cloisters.
This filly comes from a strong black type pedigree, with close relations including Group 1-winning sire Gimmethegreenlight, Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1-performed Gregers (Commands), and G1 Coolmore Classic winner Ofcourseican (Mossman). She is the second living foal from winning Snitzel mare Badia, whose first foal Cloisters (Frosted {USA}) has kicked off her career on the track in good form.
A homebred colt for Godolphin, Cloisters debuted at Cranbourne in January with a second placing, and has inched closer each start until he nabbed Sunlit Serenade (The Autumn Sun) at his third start to win by 0.06l. James Cummings has yet to set him for another target, but he grows more confident with each outing, and is sure to update this filly’s page again over the coming months.
Blue Point (Ire) | Standing at Darley
Lot 358 - Stay Inside x Notation (Fastnet Rock), colt - on account of Newgate Farm
Colt is a half-brother to multiple stakes-placed juvenile Memo.
This colt is sure to attract plenty of attention during inspections, not least because of his half-sister Memo’s (Capitalist) performance before the catalogue went to print. Already stakes-placed after her debut third in the G3 Gimcrack Stakes, Memo has added to her record since.
A perennial bridesmaid, the 2-year-old filly came within half a length of winning the R. Listed Magic Millions Wyong 2YO Classic on resumption in December, beaten just 0.42l by power filly O’ Ole (Ole Kirk). The Peter Snowden trainee turned her hand to Saturday racing at the end of the month and was a strong third to Gallo Nero (Wootton Bassett {GB}) at Randwick, before turning the tables on him in the R. Listed Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast in January. Again she was outstripped by O’ Ole, but there was a solid 0.5l back to Gallo Nero behind her.
Memo has accepted to run in the G2 Sweet Embrace Stakes this weekend, so there is potential for a bigger boost before this colt walks through the ring. A $350,000 purchase at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for Snowden Racing, she has accumulated a tick over $600,000 in prize money to date.
