Two exciting horses are hitting the track across Australia on Tuesday. A promising Capitalist filly runs at Scone and a promising Zoustar filly chases maiden success at Seymour.
Scone, Race 8, 4.25pm AEDT, Scone Equine Hospital Class 1 Handicap, $27,000, 1100m
Mercantilist, 3-year-old filly (Capitalist x Angel’s Choice {Redoute’s Choice})
Mercantilist, a daughter of Capitalist, will be making her third start for Wyong trainer Sara Ryan on Tuesday over 1100 metres. She won nicely on debut in March, and after a slight freshen up ran fourth at Hawkesbury on May 15 behind Russian Zarina (Russian Revolution).

The sharply-bred filly is the fourth foal from the unraced Redoute’s Choice mare Angel’s Choice. She has already left other winners Packer (Written Tycoon) and Milliondollarmumma (Capitalist).
She is very well-related and is a full sister to the dual Group 1 winner Melito (Redoute’s Choice) and a three-quarter-sister to the dual Group 3 winner and stallion Pariah.
Angel’s Choice since producing Mercantilist, has left a 2-year-old filly named Vinnie’s Angel (I Am Invincible), a weanling colt by Home Affairs, and was subsequently left empty.
Mercantilist was a $420,000 purchase by Domeland Pty Ltd from the draft of Newgate Farm at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Seymour, Race 2, 12.30pm AEDT, CUB 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate, $27,000, 1000m
Zoubelle, 3-year-old filly (Zoustar x Itza Snitzi {Snitzel})
The consistent Zoubelle (Zoustar) is set to have her fourth start at Seymour over 1000 metres for trainer Julien Welsh on Tuesday.
This preparation she has ran two very good seconds at Pakenham and Cranbourne and looks well placced to go one better in this event.

Zoubelle is out of the Snitzel mare Itza Snitzi who only raced twice, her family is a bit quiet of blacktype up close in the pedigree but she does have some lovely pedigree influences throughout including Encosta De Lago, Redoute’s Choice, Perugino (USA), Snippets and Danehill (USA).
Since producing Zoubelle, Itza Snitzi has unfortunately not left a live-foal but she was served by I Am Immortal last spring.
Zoubelle was purchased by McKeever Bloodstock for $130,000 from the A List Stud Pty Ltd draft at the 2023 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale

Golden Straand (Snitzel) - Raced very greenly when running second on debut at Wyong, it was a brave effort and should improve off it.
