Looking Ahead highlights runners of interest across Australia and New Zealand. Whether they are an exceptionally well-bred or high-priced runner early in their career chasing maiden success, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse that has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.
Three exciting runners are running at Kensington on Wednesday. A Pierro gelding chases maiden success, and 3-year-olds by Snitzel and Justify (USA) aim to remain unbeaten as they resume new preparations.
Kensington, Race 1, 1.25pm AEDT, TAB Handicap, $60,000, 1150m
Cold Brew, 3-year-old gelding (Pierro x Connemara {Fastnet Rock})
The consistent Cold Brew (Pierro), is set to resume over 1150 metres for Rosehill trainers Richard and Will Freedman at Kensington on Wednesday. He has placed in three of his four starts, and after a nice break he won a trial nicely at Rosehill on May 29 in preparation for his resuming run.
Cold Brew is by Pierro and is the first foal out of the Fastnet Rock mare Connemara, who was a four-time winner on the track. She was classy enough to place in the G3 Birthday Card Stakes, G3 Tibbie Stakes, and the Listed Mona Lisa Stakes.

Connemara is also well-related being a half-sister to Tawteen (Stratum) who has been a seven-time winner including at Listed level, and Well Sprung (Star Witness) who was also successful at Listed level amongst his four wins.
Since producing Cold Brew, Connemara has left a 2-year-old colt by Capitalist that has been exported to New Zealand and named Master Patch, a yearling filly by Stay Inside who sold to Dalziel Racing/Moody Racing for $280,000 at the 2025 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, and a weanling Anamoe colt, she is due to foal to Stay Inside this spring.
Yong An Australia was the purchaser of Cold Brew for $170,000 from the draft of Fernrigg Farm at the 2023 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

O’Invincible, 3-year-old filly (Snitzel x Viddora {I Am Invincible})
The well-bred and very promising O’Invincible (Snitzel) resumes at Kensington on Wednesday over 1000 metres for Warwick Farm trainer Bjorn Baker. She is aiming to stay unbeaten after picking up impressive victories at Hawkesbury and Wyong last preparation.

O’Invincible is the first live-foal from the talented sprinter Viddora (I Am Invincible), she won nine times on the track, including the G1 AJ Moir Stakes, and the G1 Winterbottom Stakes.
Her grandam is Snow Flight (NZ) (Colombia {NZ}) who has been a very consistent producer leaving seven winners. Aside from leaving the aforementioned Viddora, she has left the winners Relentless Me (Statue Of Liberty {USA}), Jump’n Fly (I Am Invincible), Jenni The Jet (Hellbent), Shadow Chaser (Super One), Magnaflight (Magnus) and Snowplough (Fiorente {Ire}).
Since producing O’Invincible, Viddora has left a 2-year-old colt named Grand Prairie (Written Tycoon) who has been placed on the track, a weanling filly by Diatonic (Jpn), and is due to foal to Pierata this spring.
O’Invincible was a $500,000 purchase by Bjorn Baker Racing and Clarke Bloodstock Pty Ltd from the draft of Widden Stud at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Gatekeeper, 3-year-old gelding (Justify (USA) x Nakeeta Jane {So You Think {NZ}})
The Chris Waller-trained Justify (USA) gelding Gatekeeper will be making his second debut at Kensington on Wednesday. He won very nicely on debut at Canterbury back in January, she has had a couple of trials at Rosehill and Warwick Farm in preparation for his resuming run.

This well-bred gelding is out of the So You Think (NZ) mare Nakeeta Jane, who was a three-time winner from 1200 metres to 1400 metres including in the G1 Surround Stakes, and the G2 Light Fingers Stakes. She also showed her class placing in the G1 Flight Stakes, and the G1 Randwick Guineas.
Gatekeeper’s grandam Lustre Lady (Flying Spur) was also a handy mare winning twice and placing in the G2 Breeders Classic, Listed Angst Stakes, and the Listed Belle Of The Turf Stakes. She has also been a solid producer at stud leaving six individual winners.
Since producing Gatekeeper, Nakeeta Jane has produced a 2-year-old colt and a yearling colt both by Wootton Bassett (GB), and then she was exported to America in April last year where she was served by Justify in September.
Gatekeeper was a $700,000 purchase by Guy Mulcaster and Chris Waller Racing from the draft of Coolmore Stud at the 2023 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
