Lady Verity, 2-year-old filly (I Am Invincible x Volpe Veloce {Foxwedge})
The promising Lady Verity (I Am Invincible) will debut for trainer Matt Laurie on Sunday. She has shown a good amount of talent at the jump outs and looks sure to be competitive in the hands of jockey Jamie Mott.
Lady Verity is the second foal out of the classy Foxwedge mare Volpe Veloce, an outstanding galloper in New Zealand, winning twelve times from 1200 metres to 1600 metres. Her best wins were in the G1 Railway Handicap, G2 Eight Carat Classic, G2 Westbury Classic, G2 Japan-NZ International Trophy, G3 Eulogy Stakes, R. Listed Karaka 3YO Mile and the Listed Castletown Stakes.

Volpe Veloce has had I Am Invincible as a constant companion, since leaving Lady Verify she has produced a weanling filly by I Am Invincible, and is due to foal again to ‘Vinny’ in October.
Lady Verity was purchased for $450,000 by Matt Laurie and P Morgan from the draft of Longwood Thoroughbred Farm at the 2024 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

The well-related Bohemian Angel (Harry Angel {Ire}) is set to make her third start over 1100 metres for trainers Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman on Sunday. The promising daughter of Harry Angel (Ire) ran a solid second on debut at Bendigo on March 2 behind Carolina Breeze (Too Darn Hot {GB}), and then a good fourth at Pakenham in late March.
After a little break, she looked sharp winning a jump out at Pakenham on July 1 over 800 metres in preparation for her resuming run.

Happenings is also a half-sister to Spiritual Pursuit (Snitzel), Wategos (Capitalist) and Bohemian Daisy (Hellbent). All of these siblings were stakes placed on the track.
Since producing Bohemian Angel, Happenings has produced a 2-year-old colt by Street Boss (USA) named He’s A Hussler, and she is due to foal to Ole Kirk in September.
Bohemian Angel was a $300,000 purchase by Dalziel Bloodsock and Moody Racing from the draft of Tyreel Stud at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
