Magic Millions Sales Pty Ltd is Australia’s premier thoroughbred auction house, hosting more than 25 sales annually across the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Perth, Launceston, and Darwin. Our iconic Gold Coast Yearling Sale and Raceday each January is the centrepiece of Australia's summer racing calendar.
About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Bloodstock Sales Consultant to join our Gold Coast-based team. This full-time role plays a key part in sourcing quality horses across all sale categories and building strong relationships with vendors, buyers, agents, and syndicators.
Reporting to the Bloodstock Sales Manager and Bloodstock Operations Manager, this role combines relationship management, horse assessment, and sales execution with hands-on support across administration, catalogue preparation, and vendor service. This is a highly collaborative role with regular travel and industry engagement required.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and secure quality horses for yearling, weanling, broodmare, and race filly sales
Provide expert advice on sale placement, timing, and commercial assessments
Build and manage strong relationships with vendors, syndicators, and agents
Maintain industry presence through farm visits, race days, trials, and events
Support administration for online and physical sales, including entry processing and disclosures
Assist with catalogue preparation, updates, and digital record management
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams on client campaigns and sale delivery
Represent Magic Millions at auctions, race meetings, and industry functions to promote brand and build networks
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in the bloodstock or thoroughbred racing industry
Proven ability to develop and maintain trusted industry relationships
Sound commercial understanding of horse valuation and sales
Strong pedigree and conformation analysis skills
Excellent interpersonal and written communication
Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable with frequent travel
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Desirable:
Experience in sales, syndications, or digital auction platforms
Knowledge of bloodstock CRM systems or sales catalogue tools
Established vendor syndicator and trainer networks
