8. Redistribute prize money across races, or happy as is?

Definitely redistribute, more for maidens, more in provincial and country, they are the backbone of the industry.

9.Tariff on imported horses - great idea or misguided protectionism?

I think a re-defined prizemoney scale could be looked at. It is not only money going out it’s also teaching people to buy fast food rather than cook the meal. We should always be able to buy anywhere, but we do need to look after breeders and encourage them to use a range of stallions.

10.Your best mate in the business?

Scott Holcombe, we have worked closely together for a number of years, and he has taught me a great deal. He’s loyal and always gives considered counsel.
