The 2025 Magic Millions Gold Coast Horses in Training Sale catalogue has been released, which features 26 vendors, presenting 210 lots plus supplementaries by Champion Sires Zoustar, Snitzel, I Am Invincible, and Written Tycoon amongst others. The sale will be held on the Gold Coast on October 9.

‘Sire power like never before’
The 2025 Magic Millions Gold Coast Horses In Training Sale catalogue showcases a powerful lineup of sires, with 90 stallions represented among the 210 horses catalogued plus supplementaries.
While the majority of the catalogue is made up of 2-year-olds, there is also a selection of 3-year-old and 4-year-old racing prospects, ranging from untried horses to race winners.
Zoustar | Standing at Widden Stud
There is strong representation from elite stallions, including the reigning Champion Sire Zoustar, and past Champions Snitzel and I Am Invincible. Other outstanding proven stallions include Toronado (Ire), Capitalist, Exceed And Excel, Maurice (Jpn), Proisir, Street Boss (USA), The Autumn Sun and the highly sought-after Wootton Bassett (GB), who stands for $385,000 (inc. GST) this season.
Amongst the impressive list of established sires, the catalogue also includes a selection of exciting young stallions such as Bivouac, Farnan, Home Affairs, Ole Kirk, Stay Inside, St Mark's Basilica (Fr), Tiger Of Malay and Wild Ruler, all of whom are represented.
“We are delighted with the catalogue that has been assembled for the sale,” Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said. “The majority of our leading sires are represented - sire power like never before.”

Strong vendor support
This year's sale includes 26 vendors represented in this year’s sale, including Baramul Stud, which is offering 40 very well-bred youngsters, including types by I Am Invincible, Toronado (Ire), Wootton Bassett (GB), amongst others.
New Zealand’s Westbury Stud is also offering nine racehorses via international virtual offering, with a range of talented types on offer. Among them is the very promising White Mask (NZ) (Reliable Man {GB}), who has won her last three starts in a row for trainer Donna Logan.

“Importantly the sale is again supported by the leading horsemen and women in the country. They are proven equine educators with proud histories of producing high class racehorses,” Bowditch said.
“Our vendors are leaders in the industry and prospective buyers get the opportunity to see the youngsters breeze around Australia before going under the hammer on the Gold Coast.”
Proven pedigrees on offer
Buyers looking for well-related youngsters will be pleased with the depth of quality through the damlines, not just those who breeze up well.
Catalogue highlights include at least half relations to stakes winners including Group 1 winners Briasa (Smart Missile), Levendi and Sofia Rosa (NZ) (Makfi {GB}), and fellow group winners Hemlock Stone (NZ) (Dalghar {Fr}), Kristilli (Hellbent), Madam Rouge (Zoustar) and Yellow Brick (The Mission).

Also included are youngsters out of Group-winning mares such as Diademe (NZ) (Savabeel), Best Behavior (Can) (Into Mischief {USA}), Col 'n' Lil (Bradbury’s Luck), Flashy Lassie (USA) (Flashy Bull {USA}), Jade Marauder (Fastnet Rock), Sweet Redemption (Snitzel), Ticket to Ride (Vancouver) and World Peace (Danehill {USA}).
Notable sale graduates
The sale has an impressive list of graduates who have gone on to succeed at the highest level. Among the most notable is Tyzone (Written Tycoon), winner of the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap. Krone (Eurozone), another graduate, claimed the Group 1 Coolmore Classic, the Group 2 Guy Walter Stakes and several other stakes races. While Victorem (I Am Invincible), a $65,000 purchase by Jenny Graham in 2016, won eight races, including the Group 2 Victory Stakes and the Listed Lough Neagh Stakes.

Other standout performers to emerge from this sale include Capital Gain (Ad Valorem {USA}), winner of the Group 1 JJ Atkins Stakes, and Shocking, the Group 1 Melbourne Cup hero, who is now a Group 1-producing sire at Rich Hill Stud in New Zealand.
“Previous sale graduates have won at the elite level in Australia and abroad, and we look forward to this trend continuing into the future.” Bowditch said.
Breeze-Up sessions around Australia
To further support buyer confidence and inspection, four breeze-up sessions will be held across the country, giving buyers the opportunity to assess horses in action prior to the sale. Breeze-ups will take place at the Gold Coast, Seymour and Newcastle between 23 September and 7 October, with the sale itself being conducted on Thursday, 9 October.

“Our breeze-up sessions around Australia will again use first-class industry leading technology to help buyers with details such as top speeds, stride length and frequency as well as speed over 200, 400 and 600 metres,” Bowditch explained.
“This TripleS data, via electronic chips, uses quality raceday technology to take away the guesswork for interested parties.”
