8. Redistribute prize money across races, or happy as is?

Redistribute.

9. Tariff on imported horses - great idea or misguided protectionism?

No real opinion, as I breed my own. However, I do believe we need to make sure imported horses can stand up to our racing conditions. We can't afford to give the anti-racing movement any ground. The threat is real.

I also think having international horses compete adds to the spectacle of the carnivals. Last year's winner of the Melbourne Cup was bred in Walcha by a small breeder. Maybe the question should be, how do we keep small breeders and owners in the game?.

10. Your best mate in the business?

I have several, Susie Woodcock from Meredith Park, Helen Taylor from Inglis, and Ebonie McLeod.
