Older horses
Asfoora, 7-year-old mare (Flying Artie x Golden Child {I Am Invincible})
“She heads to the Curragh on Sunday to run in The Flying Five, a five-furlong Group 1. We are hoping that the rain stays away and it will be a reasonably firm track.
“Then it will be three weeks to the Prix L’Abbaye at Longchamp on Arc Day, she couldn’t be any better. She just needs reasonably good ground to be at her best.
“The race at the Curragh is probably going to be a little bit weaker than what she met at York, so all things equal, she should have a good chance as long as she gets firmish ground.”

Salsa Fellow, 4-year-old gelding (Blue Point (Ire) x She Goes To Rio (NZ) {Captain Rio {GB}})
“He trialled nicely last week and heads to Flemington this Saturday, he was caught up in the nasty car accident about six weeks ago, so he had to have a few weeks off to get over his little superficial injuries from that.
“It does look a thinnish year for sprinters, with races like The Everest and the likes in Sydney it dilutes the pool down here (Melbourne), so he is the sort of horses that can go through his grades if nothing else.
“He has won down the straight before so Saturday’s race should be well within his grasp and then there will be Group options or benchmark options.”

Wuddzz (NZ), 8-year-old gelding (Complacent x Princess Uno {Danehill {USA}})
“He won well in Sydney the other week, he might go to a 2500 metre race at Flemington on September 21, and then maybe The St Leger in Sydney.
“He needs wet tracks as well, so he will be guided by where the rain comes.”

Chasing Aphrodite (GB), 7-year-old horse (Profitable (Ire) x Tutti Frutti (GB) {Teofilo {Ire}})
“He ran fourth resuming at Caulfield, he will aim towards the Benalla Cup on September 26, and then maybe the Hamilton Cup in a couple of weeks after that.
“He is a nice 2000-2200 metre horse.”
Electric Impulse, 6-year-old mare (Cable bay (Ire) x Studio City {Teofilo {Ire}})
“She is back in work, she won a $500,000 race through the carnival last year, she had a fractured pelvis after that.
“She won't be ready in time for anything before late October maybe November, so we will look for something late in the Spring. She also likes the wet tracks, so we may have missed the boat there.”

Cote Atlantique (Ire), 5-year-old gelding (Kodiac (GB) x Liwa Palace (GB) {Oasis Dream {GB}})
“He ran a very good third at Caulfield first up as a gelding behind a pretty good horse in Sepals. He is an imported horse that we paid a bit of money for.
“We will probably go to the Sandown Stakes on Grand Final Day on September 27 and maybe the Seymour Cup after that.
“He will have a lightish type spring, he probably prefers softer ground. He will be a nice horse on softer tracks in Sydney or Brisbane in the Autumn.”
Paradise Storm (Fr), 5-year-old gelding (Masked Marvel (GB) x Holystorm (Fr) {Limnos {Jpn}})
“He won in Adelaide the other week and then won very nicely at Sandown today (Wednesday), he is progressing very well and could well be an Adelaide Cup horse in the Autumn.”
3-year-olds
Crack A Deel, 3-year-old colt (Dundeel (NZ) x Mother’s Mercy {Redoute’s Choice})
“He ran well at Sandown, he could be our Derby horse if he can get there, he did more than enough first up over 1500 metres and he will go to the 1800 metre Derby trial at Flemington on September 21, and then maybe could head towards the Geelong Derby Trial or something like that.”

Different Gravy, 3-year-old gelding (Ghaiyyath (Ire) x Venerated {Medaglia D’Oro {USA}})
“He is a promising Ghaiyyath that ran an encouraging fifth today (Wednesday) at Sandown resuming. He looks like he will be a nice 1800 to 2000 metre horse.
“His grand final for this preparation could be a race like The Batman Stakes over 1800 metres on Melbourne Cup day, but it will all depend on how he goes on the way through.”
2-year-olds
“We haven't done much with our 2-year-olds at all, really. We don't get them going too early, but three picks at this stage would be the following,” Dwyer said.
Unnamed, 2-year-old colt (Dundeel (NZ) x Misty Islet (Ire) {Fastnet Rock})
Purchased by Henry Dwyer Racing for $200,000 from the Crossley Thoroughbreds draft at the 2025 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.
“We picked up a Dundeel colt from the Premier Sale, he is showing good signs early.”

“She is a nice filly that we picked up from Classic. She looks like she will possibly go relatively early.”
