Whether they are an exceptionally well-bred or high-priced runner early in their career chasing maiden success, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse that has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.

McWoody, 3-year-old colt (Alabama Express x Queen Ouija {Street Cry {Ire}})
The promising McWoody (Alabama Express) is set to make his debut for trainer Mark Walker at Wodonga on Tuesday.
He has been well educated at the Cranbourne jump-outs and looks well placed in this maiden event in the hands of jockey Patrick Moloney.

His dam Queen Ouija (Street Cry {Ire}) was a handy stayer winning four races at 1950 metres up to 2400 metres. She has already had success as a broodmare with her first foal being the Listed St Leger winner Dunwoody (NZ) (Preferment {NZ}).
There are some very strong staying influences in the damline of this filly with Sadler’s Wells (USA), Shirley Heights (GB), and Habitat (USA) featuring as broodmare sires.
McWoody was purchased by Rikki McDonald Consulting for $27,500 from the draft at Yulong at the 2024 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale.
Picklebet Park Wodonga, Race 4, 3pm AEDT, Border Carpets Maiden Plate, $32,000, 1200m
Sulek (NZ), 3-year-old gelding (Super Seth x Tiff And Co (NZ) {O’Reilly {NZ}})
The promising Sulek (NZ) (Super Seth) is set to make his debut over 1200 metres for Flemington trainer Dominic Sutton at Wodonga on Tuesday.
He has looked talented at the jump-outs and trials and won his last one on the Caulfield Heath narrowly over Crypt (Street Boss {USA}).

Sulek is a son of Waikato Stud’s exciting Super Seth and is out of the O’Reilly (NZ) mare Tiff And Co (NZ) who was unraced. She is a half sister to Single (High Chaparral {Ire]) who was a Listed winner, and also Ghayth (GB) (Sadler’s Wells {USA}) and Ego (GB) (Green Desert {USA}) who were both stakes-placed on the track.
Tiff And Co in recent times has left a 2-year-old filly by Tarzino (NZ), a yearling colt by Super Seth, and is due to foal to Noverre (NZ) late this month.
Sulek was originally a NZ$70,000 purchase by TJ Askew from the draft of Waikato Stud at the 2024 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka National Yearling Sale. He was then a successful pinhook when selling from the KB draft for NZ$420,000 to Sutton Racing and Byron Rogers at the 2024 New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run Sale.

Touchdown (NZ) (Almanzor {Fr}) - Was a dominant winner at Sale, he looks a very promising type.
Pure Passion (Snitzel) - Won very nicely at Kilmore, the well-bred filly deserved that maiden success.
