Path To Profit, 3-year-old filly (Capitalist x Dashoff {Dash For Cash})
The well-related Path To Profit (Capitalist) lines up for her third start at Ballarat for her trainer Ciaron Maher on Friday.
She has run two solid races for second and fourth in her career so far, and looks well placed to strike in this maiden event for 3-year-olds over 1200 metres in the hands of John Allen.
Capitalist | Standing at Newgate
She is the 10th and last foal out of Dashoff (Dash For Cash), she was a winner over 1100 metres, but at stud has left four winners with the best of them clearly being Spright (Hinchinbrook), who was a six-time winner including in the G1 Sangster Stakes, three other Group 3 races and a Listed sprint.
Her other winners include Mine Two (I Am Invincible), who was a winner as a juvenile and placed in the G3 Schweppervescence Handicap, the six-time winner Johnny Dash (I Am Invincible) and Way We Go (California Dane).

Miss Deceiver, 3-year-old filly (Tassort x Little White Lies {Snitzel})
Ballarat’s Friday’s meeting will be the venue for the third start of Miss Deceiver (Tassort). This promising Ciaron Maher-trained 3-year-old filly ran a tidy third on debut at Geelong last month, and then earlier this month was a sound fourth at Moonee Valley behind Shocap (Capitalist) over 1200 metres.
The sharply-bred filly is the first foal from the Snitzel mare Little White Lies, who was a two-time winner over 1200 and 1300 metres on the track.

Little White Lies is a half sister to Tell Me (Choisir), who was a four-time winner and placed in the Listed Gosford Guineas. Further back in the family is the Listed winner Noctunelle (Elusive Quality {USA}) who is the dam of the promising young Group winning sire Dracarys.
Little White Lies since producing Miss Deceiver has produced a yearling colt by Capitalist, and foaled a Tassort colt in late August.
Miss Deceiver sold for $20,000 at the 2024 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale, with Flying Start Syndications and Pinhook Bloodstock (FBAA) being the successful purchasers from the draft of Emirates Park.
Looking Back
Bohemian Art (Deep Field) - Was unfortunately scratched from Hawkesbury. She will keep for another day.
Hayek (Capitalist) - Disappointed at Hawkesbury running fifth. He was a bit keen throughout and faded late.
