It’s the third day of hunting for gems in the massive Keeneland's November Breeding Stock Sale and the huge amount of quality in the catalogue has made it hard to narrow down a shortlist to a few Hips with interest to Australian breeders.

On our final day of highlight hips for Keeneland, let’s have a look at some fascinating broodmares and race fillies who would look great gracing an Australian pasture. There's a close relative to Group 1 winner Zaaki among them…

Hip 328 – Bullet (USA) (War Front {USA} x Marlinspike {USA})

A juvenile stakes winner, now 3-year-old filly Bullet (USA), is trained by Mark Casse and she last raced on October 12 this year. Only lightly raced, Bullet has plenty still to offer for those who want to race her on, either in America or import her to Australia where prizemoney is highly attractive.

Bullet is by highly successful sire War Front (USA) who has 119 stakes winners and his sons at stud who have shown success in Australia include Declaration Of War (USA), U S Navy Flag (USA), and War Decree (USA) who sired the G1 Queensland Derby winner Warmonger (NZ).

Bullet’s dam Marlinspike (USA) (Tapit {USA}) is a winning daughter of Champion 3-Year-Old Filly and four-time Grade 1 winner Surfside (USA) (Seattle Slew {USA}), making Marlinspike a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Irish Surf (USA) (Giant’s Causeway {USA}).

Hip 409 – Gal In A Rush (USA) (Ghostzapper {USA} x Hudson River Gal {USA})

An in-form race mare who won the G2 Presque Isle Downs Masters Stakes two starts ago in September 2025, Gal In A Rush (USA) is another race filly who gives her new owner options for her next step. Trained by Miguel Clement, Gal In A Rush was a juvenile winner and Grade 3-placed at that age.

This is the family of G1 Norfolk Stakes winner Street Hero (USA) (Street Cry {Ire}), and locals know how influential Street Cry has been here through his sons like Street Boss (USA), giving a straightforward breeding choice for her first mating if that was the direction her new owner wanted to go.

Gal In A Rush is out of a winning Dynaformer (USA) mare who is a daughter of 2-year-old winner Miss City Halo (USA) (Carson City {USA}) who also won the Martha Washington Stakes.

Hip 457 – Khinjani (GB) (Sir Percy {GB} x Kandahari {GB})

Zaaki (GB) (Leroidesanimaux {Brz}) swept all before him in 2021, winning five in succession including the G1 Doomben Cup and G1 Underwood Stakes. He also bounced back from a Group 1-third to add the G1 LKS MacKinnon Stakes that spring. All up, he won 15 races and $11 million, and Hip 457 is a chance to buy into his family.

Khinjani (GB), placed in the G3 Santa Ana Stakes of 2024, and is currently trained by Mark Glatt. A full sister to Listed Montrose Stakes winner Kawida (GB), Khinjani’s dam is a half-sister to Zaaki.

Hip 551 – Ready To Jam (USA) (More Than Ready {USA} x Third Dawn {USA})

Sire of 236 stakes winners, More Than Ready (USA) is a truly successful shuttle stallion, and now his broodmare daughters have also demonstrated their class with 207 stakes winners produced including exciting young stallions Bivouac, Shinzo, Southport Tycoon, and King Colorado.

A last start stakes winner, Ready To Jam (USA) is more than her sire. Trained by Mark Casse, her most recent start was victory in the Listed Autumn Days Stakes in mid-October. Her dam, Listed winner Third Dawn (USA) (Sky Mesa {USA}) placed in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks and this is the family of successful sire Dixieland Heat (USA).

With those credentials, she's the type of mare to produce you a stallion prospect.

Hip 798 – Golden Canary (USA) (Medaglia D’Oro {USA} x Black Canary {USA})

Consistent race mare Golden Canary (USA) has run first, third or fourth in all her seven starts in 2025 from trainer Mark E. Casse. The 4-year-old mare won the Listed Soaring Free Stakes in Canada at two and is a daughter of stakes placed juvenile winner Black Canary (USA) (War Front {USA}).

Medaglia D’Oro (USA) | Pensioned at Darley America

Medaglia D’Oro (USA) shuttled to Australia with strong results, including Hong Kong Horse Of The Year Golden Sixty, and as a damsire he has been responsible for the likes of exciting Group 1 winning filly Apocalyptic (Extreme Choice) and 11 other Group 1 winners.

Hip 882 – Lunar Impact (GB) (Zoustar x Button Moon {Ire})

Zoustar’s Listed winner Lunar Impact (GB) is trained in America by Dan Blacker and won the Listed Misdirection Stakes in the middle of this year. Her most recent start was in August in the G2 Ladies Turf Sprint. Zoustar, the recently crowned Australian Champion Sire, needs no introduction to Australian breeders hunting for their next top class broodmare.

Lunar Impact comes from the family of top European sprinter Battaash (Ire) (Dark Angel {GB}) who won four Group 1 races including the G1 King’s Stand Stakes twice. Lunar Impact’s stakes placed dam Button Moon (Ire) (Compton Place {GB}) is a half-sister to Group 2 winner and G1 July Cup-placed Etlaala (GB) (Selkirk {USA}). This family is filled with high class European speed.

Hip 941 – Queen Of The Mud (Ire) (Kodiac {GB} x Jawlaat {Ire})

Queen Of The Mud (Ire) is a stakes winning half-sister to globe-trotting Group 1-placed Facteur Cheval (Ire) (Ribchester) who won the G3 Prix Perth and was placed at Group 1 level in England, France and Dubai. Trained by H. Graham Motion, Queen Of The Mud won the Swingtime Stakes and placed in the G3 Monrovia Stakes.

Kodiac (GB) | Standing at Tally-Ho Stud

Queen Of The Mud’s unraced dam Jawlaat (Ire) is a daughter of Shamardal (USA), and is a half-sister to dual Group 3 winner in France Tantheem (GB) (Teofilo {Ire}). Kodiac is emerging as a strong broodmare sire and a sire of sires with New Zealand-based Hello Youmzain (Fr), etc.

Hip 951 – Risk Threshold (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire} x Priceless {GB})

Dubawi (Ire) mare Risk Threshold (Ire) is a stakes placed winner, trained by Chad Brown who last raced in September this season. Her dam, Group 2 winner Priceless (GB) (Exceed And Excel) is a half-sister to Hong Kong winner and G2 Mill Reef Stakes-placed Helene Brilliant (GB) (Dr Fong {USA}).

Priceless won the G2 Temple Stakes in England, and has also produced promising 3-year-old Miraculous (Ire) (Too Darn Hot {GB}) who has won twice this season in England.

Dubawi (Ire) | Standing at Darley

Dubawi, a multiple Champion Sire in Great Britain and Ireland, is the damsire of 100 stakes winners, ten of those at Group 1 level. He shuttled to Australia in the beginning of his career, and his locally based daughters have produced Group 1 winners Militarize (Dundeel {NZ}) and Zardozi (Kingman {GB}), while imported galloper Without A Fight (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}) won the G1 Melbourne Cup.
