Bohemian Art, 4-year-old mare (Deep Field x Your Life Style {Hussonet {USA}})

The Nathan Doyle-trained Bohemian Art (Deep Field) will run at Hawkesbury on Tuesday over 1300 metres. She ran three good races in her first preparation earlier in the year, including a good second first-up last campaign at Newcastle.

She has had two trials at Newcastle to prepare herself for her resuming run. The well-bred mare is the eighth foal from the Hussonet (USA) mare Your Life Style, who was unraced on the track, but her pedigree is top-classw as illustrated by being a $1.2 million purchase by Newgate Farm at the 2014 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.

The well-related Casserousse (Exceed And Excel) is set to have her second start for trainer Joseph Pride at Hawkesbury on Tuesday over 1100 metres.

On debut she ran a solid enough sixth at Kembla Grange, but looking back, it was a strong form race with Akaysha (Capitalist) and Beadman (Snitzel) running the quinella, and they are both proven in stakes company.

Exceed And Excel | Standing at Darley

Casserousse is a daughter of Darley’s outstanding and now pensioned sire Exceed And Excel and is the second foal from the Raven’s Pass (USA) mare Chamrousse (Ire). She was only placed on the track in Ireland but has a very nice pedigree.

Chamrousse is a half-sister to the Group 1 winner and stallion in Amadeus Wolf (GB), and the Group 3-winning juvenile Rouleau (GB) (Exceed And Excel).
