Taste Of Heaven is the first sale topper
History was made when Taste Of Heaven (Encosta De Lago) topped the inaugural Magic Millions Digital Sale on Wednesday October 29. Offered by Yarraman Park Stud, she was purchased by Milan Park Stud for $350,000.
“We, along with our partners in Taste of Heaven decided to offer a top class mare for sale through the new Magic Millions Digital platform and we are extremely happy with the result,” Yarraman's General Manager Matt Scown said.
“From the time we began discussing offering the mare through the platform, through to during the sale and now post sale, the whole process with Magic Millions Digital has been seamless. We will continue to support the Magic Millions Digital platform moving forward.”

Taste Of Heaven, carrying a cover to Home Affairs, is the dam of G3 Woodbine Maple Leaf Stakes winner Heavenly Curlin (USA) (Curlin {USA}) and three other winners. She has a yearling filly by I Am Invincible.
This is one of the nation’s greatest families with Taste Of Heaven being a winning full sister to Group 1 winner and sire Manhattan Rain and Listed winner and Group 1-placed Echoes Of Heaven. She’s a half-sister to Champion Sire Redoute’s Choice, as well as Group 1 winner Platinum Scissors, Group 3 winner Sliding Cube (Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire}), and the dams of Shoals (Fastnet Rock) and Summer Sham (Not A Single Doubt), dam of Schwarz.
The buyer, Milan Park Stud, is located in the Waikato region of New Zealand and is owned by Tony Rider.

Magic Millions pleased with inaugural sale
The inaugural Magic Millions Digital Sale achieved a gross of $755,150 with 50 lots selling at an average price of $15,103. “We are extremely pleased with the results of the first sale and feedback regarding the platform has been very positive," Magic Millions Head of Digital Bryce Bevan said.
“The sale has grossed over $750,000 with a clearance rate in excess of 71%, which will only continue to rise as some more private sales are finalised. We had all aspects of the market represented, including bidders from each State and Territory in Australia as well as great overseas interest from New Zealand and several Asian jurisdictions.

"The support the industry has provided and the results achieved has given us a great platform to build on and we are very much looking forward to our next sale in November, with entries open from tomorrow.”
Johnson buys unraced So You Think filly
The next top lot was unraced 3-year-old filly You Are Correct (So You Think {NZ}) offered by Anderson Racing and purchased by Will Johnson Bloodstock for $47,500.
“It was very sad to lose So You Think in the week of the Cox Plate, a race he very much owned, and it appears that he’s making progressive inroads as a broodmare sire. Whilst unraced, she comes from a lovely European pedigree,” Johnson told TTR.

“We’ll keep her in training and see how she goes over the coming months.”
A half-sister to G1 Queensland Derby winner Magicool (Fastnet Rock) and two other stakes placed winners, You Are Correct’s third dam is G1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner Durtal (Ire) (Lyphard {USA}), who is the ancestress of the likes of successful sire Carnegie.
