Recent winner Patonga (Written Tycoon) topped the sale at $255,000 and will head to Hong Kong. He is out of Group 1 winner In Her Time (Time Thief).
Stakes placed Celestial Bling (Capitalist) sold to Nocab Racing as a broodmare prospect for $220,000.
Shares in 3-year-old colts Hidden Motive (Capitalist) and Ruination (Wootton Bassett {GB}) gave them seven-figure valuations. Both colts are out of Group 1 winning mares.
Three sales over $100,000 took the total $100,000+ lots sold on Inglis Digital this year to 125.
Hidden Motive valued at over $1 million
Nathan Doyle-trained 3-year-old colt Hidden Motive (Capitalist) is now valued at $1.05 million after two 5% shares in him sold for $55,000 and $50,000 respectively. Winner of the G2 Roman Consul Stakes two starts ago, Hidden Motive was first seen on debut in the G3 Breeders’ Plate as an October juvenile when fourth.
Ill-fated King Kirk (Ole Kirk) won the Breeders’ Plate from Tempestuous (Extreme Choice) with North England (Farnan) in third. North England went on to win the G3 Kindergarten Stakes.
After that effort, Hidden Motive won twice at two and has improved at three to add the Group 2 win to his resume. Doyle Racing and Kurrinda Bloodstock purchased him from Cressfield’s 2024 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale draft for $120,000.

His yearling price was a relative bargain, given that he’s the fourth foal of G1 Robert Sangster Stakes winner Secret Agenda (Not A Single Doubt). Her first three foals have all shown enough, with two winners and the other metro placed, while she has 2-year-old colt Covert Action (Home Affairs) and a yearling filly by Zoustar to come.
Cressfield will offer the Zoustar half-sister to Hidden Motive as Lot 779 at the 2026 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Capitalist’s progeny prove popular
Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained 4-year-old mare Celestial Bling (Capitalist) sold for $220,000 to Nocab Racing to come in as the second top individual lot of the sale. Unsighted at the track since a trial in March 2025, Celestial Bling was second on debut in the G3 Gimcrack Stakes of October 2023. The race was won by Manaal (Tassort) who went on to win the G1 Sires’ Produce Stakes later that season and has added three more Group 2 wins at three and four.
Celestial Bling had a long layoff and returned in the spring of 2024 to run third at her only other start. She will head to stud for her new owners. “At this stage we’re looking at Extreme Choice or Farnan for her first cover but we’ve got plenty of time up our sleeve to make that decision,” Nocab’s Steve Bacon said.

“We believe she has the makings of a beautiful broodmare. You only need to look at her debut performance in the Gimcrack Stakes where she got bobbed out by Manaal and cruised past Lady of Camelot to see she had so much ability. She was a quality yearling so from a broodmare perspective we think she has a lot to offer.”
Originally sold by Newgate Farm at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for $300,000 to Trilogy and Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott Racing, Celestial Bling is out of winning Exceed And Excel mare Starry.
“Celestial Bling had so much ability as a race filly, as evidenced by her debut when she lost narrowly to Manaal and defeated her stablemate Lady of Camelot, who would go on to win the Golden Slipper just a few short months later,” Bott said.

“She is a high-quality breeding prospect and the Bacon family have bought themselves an outstanding young broodmare. Our stable offers many of its tried or retired horses through Inglis Digital, it’s seamless every time, the Inglis team go out of their way to make it as easy as possible for people.”
Starry’s yearling colt by Anamoe will be offered by Widden Stud as Lot 858 at the 2026 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. This is the family of G2 VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes winner and sire Zululand.
Last start winner Patonga tops individual sales
Patonga (Written Tycoon) sold for $255,000 to the Jolly Time Syndicate. Offered by Coolmore, the 3-year-old colt won at Canterbury last Friday for trainer Chris Waller, having run second at the start prior. He will head to Hong Kong.
“This is for the syndicate permit in Hong Kong and we look forward to seeing how he settles into Hong Kong, although we haven’t decided on a trainer yet,” said a spokesperson for Jolly Time.
“I’m really happy with the Inglis Digital platform, there’s frequently Hong Kong-qualified horses to choose from so that makes each catalogue a ‘can’t miss’ for us.”

He was sold by Yulong Stud at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale to Tom Magnier for $750,000 to join a Coolmore colts partnership. Coolmore has previously had success with the sire when Private Life (Written Tycoon) won the G1 Caulfield Guineas and he is now standing at Coolmore Stud.
“Patonga is yet another talented young horse with considerable upside that we have offered through Inglis Digital,” Coolmore’s Racing Manager John Kennedy said.
“We wish his new owners the very best of luck with him and we hope he can emulate the likes of Imperial Force, Caballus and Zarastro as former success stories for Coolmore’s Inglis Digital offerings.”

Patonga is the second foal of G1 Galaxy Handicap and G1 Lightning Handicap winner In Her Time (Time Thief), whose first foal is the winner Time Lapse (I Am Invincible). In Her Time has an unnamed 2-year-old colt by Written Tycoon, who was bought by Tom Magnier for $1.8 million this year, a yearling filly by Diatonic (Jpn), and a colt foal by Pierata.
In Her Time went through the Inglis Chairman’s Sale twice. First in 2020 when she sold to Newgate for $2 million, then again in 2021 when she sold to Yulong for $2.2 million. In Her Time’s dam, Hell It’s Hot (Zeditave), is a winning half-sister to Sin Sin Sin (Fantastic Light {USA}), who is the dam of The Everest winner and young sire Yes Yes Yes. Hell It’s Hot is also a half-sister to Group 3 winner Hot As Hell (County), and Listed winners Craig’s Dragon (Catbird) and Flaming Hot (County).
Ruination valued at over $1.4 million
Five shares in Ruination (Wootton Bassett {GB}) adding to 13.82% sold for a cumulative $200,000, valuing the Michael Freedman-trained 3-year-old colt at just over $1.4 million.
Ruination won his first two starts this spring, before running a gallant second in the Listed Dulcify Stakes behind Attica (Lonhro), who won the G1 Spring Champion Stakes at his next start. In his fourth start, Ruination ran in the G2 Callander-Presnell Stakes against the older sprinters, but showed he needed a spell and was sent to the paddock.

Widden Stud sold Ruination at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for $500,000 to Michael Freedman Racing and Michael Wallace Bloodstock. He is a son of G1 Coolmore Classic winner Daysee Doom (Domesday) who has a yearling filly and filly foal, both by Zoustar, to come.
