Big Sister Ava, 4-year-old mare (Puissance De Lune (Ire) x Arohanui {Bianconi {USA}})
The Ciaron Maher-trained Puissance De Lune (Ire) mare Big Sister Ava will be chasing maiden success at her third start at Kyneton over 1856 metres on Thursday, after originally being accepted to run at the abandoned Hamilton meeting on Monday.
She ran very well for a second placing on debut at Kilmore over 1612 metres, and while she disappointed second-up, she looks a good chance to bounce back in this maiden race.

Big Sister Ava is the sixth-live foal from the Bianconi (USA) mare Arohanui, who was a two-time winner. She has proven to be a very handy broodmare leaving five-winners including the Jericho Cup and Grand National Hurdle winner in Wil John (Reset), the stakes placed stayer Wahine Toa (Dalakhani {Ire}), three-time winner Aroha Te Mana (Von Costa de Hero) and the outstanding Another Wil (Street Boss {USA}) who is now a nine-time winner including at Group 1 level in the CF Orr Stakes.
Unfortunately, Big Sister Ava was Arohanui’s last foal as she died in 2021, she will be chasing maiden success to try and keep up her 100% winners record at stud.

Forceofone, 3-year-old colt (Super Seth x Heartfelt (NZ) {O’Reilly {NZ}})
The well-related Forceofone (NZ) (Super Seth) is set to make his fourth start at Kyneton on Thursday for trainers Ben, Will and JD Hayes. In his career he has run one placing in his three starts, and looks well placed from a handy draw in the hands of Ben Allen.
Forceofone is a son of Waikato Stud’s exciting Super Seth and is out of the O’Reilly (NZ) mare Heartfelt (NZ) who was unraced on the track.
She has already proven to be a reliable broodmare having left four winners including the four-time winner Sincere (NZ) (Savabeel), another four-time in Ocean Heart (NZ) (Ocean Park {NZ}), Hivari (NZ) (Tivaci) and Genuinely (NZ) (Tivaci).

She went onto become a very good broodmare leaving six individual winners including Residential (NZ) (Pins) who was successful nine times including in the G3 South Island Breeders Stakes, Listed Dunedin Guineas, Otago Breeders’ Stakes and the Listed Southland Guineas.
Heartfelt since producing Forceofone has left a yearling colt by Ardrossan, and then missed to The Chosen One (NZ).
Forceofone sold for NZ$155,000 at the 2024 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Yearling Sale with Lindsay Park Racing being the successful purchaser from the draft of Waikato Stud Ltd.

Cardamom (NZ), 3-year-old filly (Contributer (Ire) x Kachhi (NZ) {Showcasing {GB}})
The Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained Cardamom (NZ) (Contributer {Ire}) lines up for her second start at Kyneton over 1454 metres on Thursday.
Cardamom ran a very good second behind Tan Tat Delight (Russian Revolution) on debut at Kilmore, and the step up slightly in trip looks ideal for this New Zealand-bred Contributer (Ire) filly.
Contributer (Ire) | Stood at Mapperley Stud
Cardamom is the second foal out of Kachhi (NZ) (Showcasing {GB}), she was a versatile three-time winner from 1400 metres up to 2100 metres on the track, including winning twice at metropolitan level at Ellerslie. She is also a half sister to the Listed placed duo of Let Me Handle It (NZ) (High Chaparral {Ire}) and Mercedario (NZ) (Bigstone {Ire}).
Kachii in recent year has left a yearling filly by Ardrossan, and was due to foal to Ace High this spring.
Cardamom was purchased by Roll The Dice Racing, Freedman Racing, Rogers Bloodstock and Chris Rutten Bloodstock (BAFNZ) for NZ$65,000 from the Lyndhurst Farm draft at the 2024 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka National Yearling Sale.
Looking Back
Daphnes (Street Boss {USA}) - Ran a very good second at Wyong, she only got pipped right on the post.
Paradoxium (Extreme Choice) - Was a very impressive winner of the R. Listed Magic Milliosn Wyong 2YO Classic, he led, bolted away and looks very exciting. Seeiaye (Russian Revolution) ran a solid enough fourth in the same race after working hard early.
