Since the release of the 2026 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale catalogue on November 10, 2025, several yearlings set to go under the hammer on the Gold Coast have experienced significant pedigree updates. Ahead of their entry into the ring, we take a look at whose page has fresh appeal for buyers and vendors alike.
Lot 66 - Stay Inside x Arianne (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}), filly - on account of Widden Stud
At the time of print, all four of this filly’s dam’s foals to race had scored on the track, including G1 Australasian Oaks fourth Starianne (Sebring), and the update comes twofold courtesy of her 3-year-old Davida (Bivouac) who has made the leap into city company since winning her maiden at Echuca in September.

Second up after a freshen, Davida headed to Cranbourne on the Saturday after Christmas to demonstrate she was capable of a step up in grade and put on a front-running performance to score by a length and a quarter in the $150,000 3-year-old race.
A week later, she was in Geelong for the Geelong Diamond meet, and fended off older opposition to repeat the effort, taking her total prize money to over $180,000. She has clearly hit her stride in metropolitan company and, in doing so, becomes the third of Arianne’s (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}) foals to be competitive in Saturday racing. Given all three are fillies, the odds seem to play in this lot’s favour.
Lot 129 - St Mark’s Basilica (Fr) x Brilliance (Street Cry {Ire}), colt - on account of Coolmore Stud
This colt’s dam comes with a packed page; she is a half-sister to five stakes winners, three of whom have had careers at stud - Epaulette, Helmet, and Bullbars - and at the time that the catalogue went to print, five of her foals had hit the track for three winners. That’s already a winning result, but since the catalogue’s publication, she has managed to add an additional two winners to her credit.

Her now 4-year-old Faerie (Lonhro) had only started once as a 3-year-old, but her transfer to the Lindsay Park team at the beginning of the season has been the making of her, with the mare breaking her maiden in mid December after narrowly missing the placings twice in provincial company.
The 3-year-old Storm Leopard (Ghaiyyath {Ire}) also stepped out in the spring, adding to his second season sire’s haul with a Geelong win at just his second start. It has all come up roses for this colt and his dam, who now boasts a record of six to the track for five winners.
Lot 687 - Maurice (Jpn) x Prahaar (Smart Missile), colt - on account of Marquee Stud
It’s always important to get a broodmare’s career off on the right foot, and this colt’s dam Prahaar (Smart Missile) - who hails from the family of Success Express (USA) - has done just that. Her first foal to race Tessy Tee (Rubick) was already a winner - and her only runner - at the time of the catalogue’s printing, and her second runner Brightburn (Deep Field) has dutifully followed suit in the weeks since.

Second on debut at Beaumont, the flashing light was on for Brightburn at her second start in the week before Christmas, where she broke her maiden at Wyong’s Saturday meeting by leading all the way to a one and a half length victory. Eleven days later, she repeated the feat at Gosford’s New Year's Eve meet, posting another one-length easy victory and has earned herself a break in the paddock. The ease of both her wins has justified short quotes with bookmakers, and it is exciting to contemplate how she will return in the autumn.
And importantly, her dam is now two for two!
