The John O’Shea and Tom Charlton-trained Waverley Road (Wootton Bassett {GB}) lines up for his second start at Wyong on Tuesday. He ran a strong fifth in good company behind Pallaton (Wootton Bassett {GB}) as a 2-year-old, then after having a long break he has won two trials in preparation for this resuming assignment.
This promising gelding is the second foal out of Mistress Oz (Snitzel) who was unraced. She has a fantastic pedigree being a half-sister to the Hong Kong Group 3 winner Thewizardofoz (Redoute’s Choice), and a half-sister to Argentia (Frankel {GB}) who was a dual Group 3 winner.

Waverley Road’s grandam was the outstanding four-time Group 1 winner Princess Coup (Encosta De Lago), who also ran placings in the G1 Caulfield Cup, G1 Australian Cup, G1 Ranvet Stakes, G1 MacKinnon Stakes, G1 BMW Stakes and the G1 New Zealand 1000 Guineas.
Mistress Oz, in recent times has left a 2-year-old colt by Palace Pier (GB), a yearling filly by Tassort, a State Of Rest filly foal, and was served again by State Of Rest.
Waverley Road was purchased by John O'Shea Racing and James Bester Bloodstock for $100,000 from the Riverstone Lodge draft at the 2024 Magic Millions Gold Coast National Yearling Sale.

Gold Coast Belle, 3-year-old filly (So You Think (NZ) x Perpetuum {More Than Ready {USA})
The Danny O’Brien-trained Gold Coast Belle (So You Think {NZ}) lines up for her second start at Kyneton on Tuesday. She ran a fast finishing second on debut at Seymour behind Star Trip (Star Turn) back in Seymour, after a break she has had three trials and jump-outs to get ready for this fresh-up run.
Gold Coast Belle is out of the unraced mare Perpetuum (More Than Ready {USA}), she is very well-related being a half-sister to the Group 3 winner Maschino (Encosta De Lago) and the Listed winner Kentucky Breeze (Pierro).

Gold Coast Belle’s grandam Tahni Girl (Redoute’s Choice) was a quick sprinter winning two Listed races and a Group 3, while her great grandam Ballroom Babe (NZ) (Citidancer {Ire}) was a Champion filly in New Zealand, including at Group 1 level three times.
Perpetuum, in recent times, has left a 2-year-old gelding named Any Time Now (So You Think {NZ}), and was served by Shamus Award last spring.
Gold Coast Belle was purchased by John Wheeler for $375,000 from the Coolmore Stud draft at the 2024 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
