G1 Might And Power Stakes winner Globe (NZ) (Charm Spirit {Ire}) returned to the trials for the first time this autumn with a win on Monday morning in the opening heat at Rosehill. The Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr-trained gelding was allowed to roll forward and came under no pressure from jockey Dylan Gibbons when edging out Grand Prairie (Written Tycoon) by a head. Untried Borjnord (Tassort) was third ahead of G1 Champagne Stakes winner Nepotism (Brutal {NZ}).

Slick trial win from Hidden Motive
G2 Roman Consul Stakes winner Hidden Motive (Capitalist) primed himself for a big autumn by convincingly winning his second trial of the preparation at Rosehill on Monday. The Nathan Doyle-trained colt cruised around in the lead until given the kick by Tim Clark to win by a length and a quarter over Spring Lee (Zoustar), with the fast-finishing Idle Flyer (Dundeel {NZ}) in third.

Doyle Racing and Kurrinda Bloodstock bought Hidden Motive from Cressfield’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale draft for $120,000 and they will have to go to the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale if they want to purchase his half-sister by Zoustar, who is Lot 72. Hidden Motive is one of three winners from G1 Robert Sangster Stakes winner Secret Agenda (Not A Single Doubt), who passed in 2024. Hidden Motive is entered for the G2 Arrowfield 3YO Sprint.

Talented and untapped juvenile Rachini (Zoustar) posted another impressive trial win on Monday at Rosehill, winning by over four lengths in a fillies-only heat. The Bjorn Baker trainee was let rip in the home straight to win convincingly over Leonessa (Snitzel).

A $200,000 Gold Coast graduate turned $500,000 Inglis Ready2Race sale for Baystone Farm, Rachini is the fourth foal out of Ordos Honor (Fastnet Rock), a half-sister to Group winners Timbourina (Timber Country {USA}) and Media (Gilded Time {USA}). The Chase will offer a full brother to Rachini as Lot 245 at the upcoming Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, and Ordos Honor was served by Ozzmosis in 2025.
Rachini is nominated for the G1 Sires’ Produce Stakes and the G2 Percy Sykes Stakes.
Listed Lonhro winner smooth on trial return
Listed Lonhro Plate winner Agrarian Girl (Tassort) put on a front-running master class to win her trial at Rosehill on Monday morning. The Tulloch Lodge-trained filly put a gap on the field from early on and maintained it the whole trip to win by a length and a quarter over Satin Serenade (Frankel {GB}).

Agrarian Girl is the first foal from dual Listed winner Liwa (Mulaazem), a half-sister to Group 3-winning Coleman (Pierata) from the family of Rothesay and Sensei. Artaneous readies for autumnal return
Sixth in the G3 Breeders’ Plate on debut, Trapeze Artist colt Artaneous was strong on his resumption in a Rosehill trial on Monday. The Bjorn Baker trainee tracked the early leader Satoshi (Wootton Bassett {GB}) into the home straight before pouncing and producing a strong half-length win over Power Broker (Dundeel {NZ}), an unraced son of Stay With Me (Street Cry {Ire}). Tornado Valley (Too Darn Hot {GB}) finished midfield under a quiet ride from Zac Lloyd.

Darby Racing spent $170,000 at the Gold Coast to acquire Artaneous from Glenbeigh Farm. He is the third foal from juvenile winner Chrisellaine (Ire) (Iffraaj {GB}), out of a half-sister to G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf victress and European Champion 2YO Filly Chriselliam (Ire) (Iffraaj {GB}). Chrisellaine has a Pinatubo (Ire) yearling filly who was withdrawn from the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, and she revisited Trapeze Artist this past spring.
Artaneous remains amongst nominations for the Slipper and the Sires’ Produce.
Paradoxium catches eye in trial return
The R. Listed Magic Millions Wyong 2YO Classic winner Paradoxium (Extreme Choice) sadly missed going to the Gold Coast for the Magic Millions carnival, but he looks ready for a big autumn after sending a strong warning in his trial at Rosehill on Monday. The Bjorn Baker-trained colt hit the front and pulled away powerfully from his peers in the home straight to win by nearly four and a half lengths over Klocke (Zoustar).
Bjorn Baker Racing, Clarke Bloodstock (FBAA), and Ridgmont went to $400,000 to secure the son of Listed-performed Paredo (Better Than Ready), a stakes-performed half to the dams of Don Corleone and Private Harry (Harry Angel {Ire}), at the Gold Coast, and Silverdale Farm will offer a Zoustar half-sister at Inglis Easter as Lot 9. Paredo has a filly foal at foot by I Am Invincible and was covered by Zoustar again in the spring. Paradoxium remains in contention for the Slipper and the Sires’.
All On Red returns with a bang
Dual winning Doubtland juvenile All On Red returned to the trials at Lark Hill on Monday with a fast finish in the opening 400-metre heat for 2-year-olds. The Tiarnna Noske-trained colt left his rivals in the dust, easily putting a three and three-quarter-length lead over the rest of the field in the short sprint.
Noske bought All On Red for $62,500 from Scenic Lodge’s Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale draft, and a half-brother by Aysar sold for $40,000 to Forrest Racing at this year’s edition of the sale. He is the first foal from Poker Face (Snippetson), a winning half-sister to G3 Red Anchor Stakes winner Karuta Queen (Not A Single Doubt) who has a colt on the ground by Universal Ruler.
