The catalogue for the 2026 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale was released in early December 2025. Since that time, a number of yearlings set to pass through the ring at Inglis Oaklands have had their pedigrees enhanced, an important consideration for both vendors and buyers alike.
Lot 43 – Grunt (NZ) x Evening Slippers (Snitzel), colt – on account of Yulong
This impressive Grunt (NZ) colt offered by Yulong has received a number of different updates since the catalogue went to print.
The most notable came when his full sister Manolo Bling (Grunt {NZ}) finished third in the Listed Goldmarket Handicap at the Gold Coast in January. Further enhancement followed on Wednesday night when Manolo Bling topped the 2026 Inglis February (Late) Online Sale, selling to Highgrove Stud for a significant sum of $275,000.

The colt’s half-sister Kiss Goodnight (Written Tycoon) has also broken her maiden at Gosford for trainer Clarry Connors since the catalogue went to print, and was considered worthy of a start in the $3 million Magic Millions Sunlight 3YO Plate at her most recent run.
This colt is the fourth foal out of Evening Slippers (Snitzel), a 2-year-old winner and full sister to Group 1 winner and stakes producer Sweet Idea (Snitzel), as well as Group 2 winner and sire Showtime. The page continues to build, with Evening Slippers having since produced a Pierata filly foal and subsequently being served by First Settler last December.
Lot 11 – Toronado (Ire) x Di Lusso (Lonhro), colt – on account of Longwood Thoroughbred Farm
Longwood Thoroughbred Farm’s Toronado (Ire) colt has also received a timely pedigree boost. His half-brother Job Done (Snitzel) added black type to the page when finishing second in the G3 Manfred Stakes behind Space Rider (Zoustar) in late January.
Since the catalogue went to print, several Kiwi sprinters have further strengthened the extended pedigree. Affirmative Action (Yes Yes Yes) added to his record with a placing in the G2 Auckland Guineas, while Navigator (NZ) (El Roca) produced a gallant second behind the star New Zealand sprinter First Five (NZ) (Almanzor {Fr}) in the G1 Telegraph. That marked his second consecutive placing in the Weight-for-age Group 1 sprint at Trentham.

Other talented members of the family include G2 Danehill Stakes-winning sprinter Mcgaw (I Am Immortal) and G2 Angus Armanasco Stakes winner Shuffle Dancer (I Am Invincible).
Di Lusso has since produced a colt foal by Toronado, and was served again by Swettenham Stud’s star stallion last spring.
Lot 747 – Zousain x Undoubtedly So (Not A Single Doubt), colt – on account of Rosemont Stud
When the 2026 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale catalogue went to print, the winning mare Undoubtedly So (Not A Single Doubt) was somewhat of an unknown quantity. Her 3-year-old Russian Camelot (Ire) gelding had yet to race, and her 2-year-old Magnus colt was in the same position.
However, circumstances in racing and breeding can shift quickly, and that has certainly been the case for Rosemont Stud and Undoubtedly So. The Russian Camelot gelding, now named Beyond Question, made an impressive winning debut at country level in Victoria before stepping sharply up in grade to contest the G3 CS Hayes Stakes for trainer Patrick Kearney. There, he secured black type when finishing third behind the high-class 3-year-olds Sixties (Flying Artie) and Asakura (Churchill {Ire}).

Undoubtedly So, is a half-sister to Royal Snitzel (Snitzel), a three-time winner who was also placed three times at Group 3 level. In recent seasons, Undoubtedly So has produced a Hanseatic filly foal and was served by Russian Camelot last December.
This Zousain colt is bred on the successful extended cross of Zoustar over Not A Single Doubt or Redoute’s Choice line mares. In addition, Zousain has enjoyed strong recent momentum and recorded a very solid Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
