Lot 201 – Home Affairs x Mintha (Redoute’s Choice), colt – on account of Rushton Park

This Home Affairs colt offered by Rushton Park has received several updates since the catalogue went to print.

The most significant comes from his dam, Mintha (Redoute’s Choice), who was Group-placed on the track and has produced the talented Tasmanian 2-year-old Momentslikethese (Tiger Of Malay).

Momentslikethese has placed in all four of her career starts for trainer Stuart Gandy, including picking up black-type in the Listed Elwick Stakes and the Listed Gold Sovereign Stakes.

The colt’s half-brother Barrelling (Toronado {Ire}) has also won another metropolitan race at Doomben since the catalogue was published, while another relative, the talented New Zealand-based Cool Aza Renee (Cool Aza Beel {NZ}), ran a Listed placing in the Otago Breeders’ Stakes, adding to her already impressive record.

It is a family with plenty of depth that continues to strengthen, and Rushton Park's well-bred colt by the exciting Home Affairs, is sure to feature on many buyers’ lists.

Lot 244 – Maurice (Jpn) x Oohood (I Am Invincible), colt – on account of Segenhoe Stud

Segenhoe Stud’s striking Maurice (Jpn) colt boasts an exceptional pedigree, being out of G1 Flight Stakes winner Oohood (I Am Invincible), who also placed in the G1 Golden Slipper Stakes, G1 Sires’ Produce Stakes, G1 Caulfield Guineas, and G1 Blue Diamond Stakes.

Oohood’s 2-year-old daughter Woosh (Wootton Bassett {GB}) provided a notable update since the catalogue went to print, running a strong third behind the unbeaten Aristopolis (St Mark’s Basilica {Fr}) in the Listed Gold Sovereign Stakes on debut for trainers Shane Nichols and Hayden Black.

It is a wonderful extended family featuring King’s Legacy and Not A Single Doubt, with three other family members adding black-type since the catalogue was released.

These include Born To Be Royal (King’s Legacy), who ran third in the G2 Sir Patrick Hogan Stakes, Parfait Dimanche (Anders) who ran third in both the G3 Eclipse Stakes and the G3 Colin Jillings 2YO Classic, and Magill (Farnan), who ran a meritorious second in the R. Listed Karaka Million 2YO Classic.

In recent years, Oohood has missed to Shinzo, and was served by the exciting Anamoe last spring.

Lot 621 – Blue Point (Ire) x Hear The Chant, colt – on account of Widden Stud

Widden Stud’s Blue Point (Ire) colt, out of the Group 3 winner Hear The Chant (Nicconi), has received a number of timely updates since the catalogue went to print.

His half-brother Ndola (Justify {USA}) recently notched a sixth win with a quality Saturday performance at Flemington, while his half-sister Hearcomesthestar (Zoustar) added black-type by placing in the Listed Geelong Black Pearl Stakes, complementing her six career wins.

It is clearly a family on the rise, which enhances the appeal of this strong colt. His dam, Hear The Chant, also has a 2-year-old filly, Chantess (Shamus Award) who could potentially add to the family’s record and she was served by Home Affairs last spring, after missing to Toronado (Ire) the previous season.
