Lot 51 – Russian Revolution x So We Are (So You Think {NZ}), colt – on account of Mill Park Stud
This Russian Revolution colt, offered by Mill Park Stud, has received a couple of nice pedigree updates since the catalogue went to print.
The colt’s half-brother Southend (Pinatubo {Ire}) won a maiden very impressively at Newcastle for trainers Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou, charging home from last to score comfortably by just over a length. He looks a colt with a big future, and no doubt more pedigree updates will follow.

Another half-brother, Jumbo Jet (Wootton Bassett {GB}), also looks quite promising for trainer Phillip Stokes and has placed at Morphettville in the past week.
He boasts a strong pedigree, being out of the Listed Adelaide Guineas winner So We Are (So You Think {NZ}), who is a three-quarter-sister to the promising young stallion Peltzer.
So We Are, since producing this Russian Revolution colt, has been bred well. She has a Maurice (Jpn) filly foal and was subsequently served by Harry Angel (Ire), making this a family very much on the rise.
Lot 194 – Russian Revolution x Devout Hero (No Nay Never {USA}), filly – on account of Holbrook Thoroughbreds
Holbrook Thoroughbreds’ Russian Revolution filly received a significant pedigree update when her half-brother Eternal Warrior (Extreme Warrior) won the Listed Merson Cooper Stakes on debut for trainer Lloyd Kennewell.
That update doesn’t tell the full story. Since the catalogue went to print, the promising colt has placed in the G3 Blue Diamond Prelude (c&g) and ran a very unlucky sixth in the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes, where he charged home from well back in the field.
Unfortunately, some bad luck followed, with the colt spelled after picking up a minor injury while preparing for the G1 Golden Slipper, where he was well in the market. He is spelling now and will get every chance to improve on his record next season.

This filly, aside from being a half-sister to a Listed winner, holds massive appeal, coming from a very fast, strong family. Her dam Devout Hero (No Nay Never {USA}) is a full or half-sibling to three individual stakes placegetters in Perfect Proposal (Russian Revolution), Papillon (Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire}) and Lady Sharapova (Fastnet Rock).
This is also the family of champion filly Alinghi (Encosta De Lago), and the talented racehorse and ill-fated stallion Beneteau.
This filly has residual appeal written all over her and is no doubt going to be well found in the market on Thursday.
Lot 236 – Dalasan x Fartoo Flashy (Galileo {Ire}), filly – on account of Mill Park Stud
Mill Park Stud’s flashy Dalasan filly nearly received the ultimate pedigree update last weekend at Rosehill when her half-sister Arctic Glamour (Frosted {USA}) ran a gallant second in the G1 Coolmore Classic behind Lazzura (Snitzel).
This meritorious run came on the back of a strong third in the G2 Guy Walter Stakes behind Verona Rose (Castelvecchio) a couple of weeks prior.
Arctic Glamour’s recent form has backed up her already outstanding record, having won the G2 Hot Danish Stakes and the Listed Reginald Allen Handicap earlier in her career.

She is one of four winners out of her placed Galileo (Ire) dam, Fartoo Flashy, who has also produced the seven-time winner and Group 3 Chairman’s Stakes winner Waging War (Rebel Raider).
This is a fantastic family, and this daughter from the first crop of Riverbank Farm’s Dalasan — a winner of over $3.5 million on the track — is sure to be in hot demand. No matter what she does on the track, she has a promising future in the broodmare barn with this pedigree.
Her well-credentialled dam has a State Of Rest (Ire) filly foal and was most recently served by State Of Rest again last December.
