We are seeking an experienced racing professional to join the team and play a key role in the continued growth of the stable.
Working alongside one of the most accomplished bloodstock teams in Australian racing (including Chris Waller, Guy Mulcaster and Charlie Duckworth), you will be instrumental in understanding the customer mix and ultimately promoting purchased horses to new and existing owners.
Equally important will be your role in enhancing the ownership experience. You will actively engage with clients through race day involvement, stable visits and owner events, ensuring every owner enjoys the professionalism and excitement that comes with being part of Chris Waller Racing. The position offers a rare opportunity to combine elite bloodstock selection with new and existing client engagement at the highest level of the sport.

Bloodstock & Sales Manager
McEvoy Mitchell Racing is seeking a Bloodstock & Sales Manager to join our team and play a key role in the growth of our ownership base and sale of our horses. This position will be based out of our Flemington stable at the iconic Flemington Racecourse, with some travel to Ballarat.
This role combines bloodstock, sales, and client experience, supporting the acquisition of horses, managing sales campaigns, and building strong, lasting relationships with owners. The position-holder will also attend yearling sales as part of the buying bench, contributing to the sourcing and selection of horses.
The primary focus of this role is to ensure all MMR horses are fully subscribed. Working closely with the trainers, Racing Manager, and wider team, the Bloodstock & Sales Manager will coordinate the sales process from purchase through to ownership placement, while also contributing to the ongoing engagement and experience of our owners.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the sale and ownership placement of horses, with a focus on achieving full ownership outcomes
Coordinate and implement sales campaigns across MMR’s bloodstock portfolio
Develop and maintain relationships with existing owners and prospective clients
Support the sourcing of new owners through networking and communication
Liaise with sales companies and manage relevant logistics during sales periods
Manage broodmare sale nominations and Inglis Digital sales, including related administration
Participate in client events, including race days and stable visits
Support trainers with sales-related administration and follow-up
About You
Extensive knowledge of bloodstock and the thoroughbred racing industry
Prior sales experience is essential, ideally within bloodstock or the racing industry
Strong commercial judgement with the ability to actively progress and close ownership opportunities
Excellent communicator, able to build and maintain relationships with owners and clients
Highly organised and able to manage multiple campaigns and priorities
Proactive and self-directed, with a hands-on approach to getting things done
