Sheeza Alibi (Saxon Warrior {Jpn}) stole the spotlight with a dominant G1 Doncaster Mile victory, while Zoustar’s star mare Joliestar added another Group 1 to her record in the G1 TJ Smith Stakes. The meeting also highlighted the ongoing influence of leading sires including Street Boss (USA) and the late Snitzel, whose progeny continue to perform at the highest level, reinforcing the strength and depth of Australian breeding.
The Inglis Easter Yearling Sale once again underlined its status as a premier global marketplace, with standout lots commanding multi-million dollar results. Coolmore secured the top lot at $3 million, while other high-profile yearlings from leading vendors such as Widden, Yulong, and Cressfield attracted strong international interest. The sale reflected both the confidence of buyers and the enduring appeal of elite pedigrees, with many of the previewed yearlings translating their promise into major results in the ring.

Beyond the sales and racetrack success, the Tour de Horse initiative offered a compelling look at life after racing. Led by Anto White at Belltrees, the program retrains retired racehorses while raising vital funds for the Kids Foundation. With strong industry backing and standout ambassadors like 11.11, it highlights the versatility of thoroughbreds and the importance of meaningful second careers.
Rounding things out, Cambridge Stud’s “Dogs of Australasia” segment adds a lighter touch, featuring the much-loved Louis. A firm favourite around the farm, Louis' story brings warmth and personality to the series, offering a glimpse into the people and everyday characters behind the thoroughbred industry.
