The catalogue dropped in size notably from 2023 to 2024 and has remained at approximately the same size, with only a minor decrease in 2026.
“The National Weanling Sale is a clear market leader whichever way you look,” Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said. “From selling racetrack champions to pinhook sale ring stars, it's the sale that always delivers for buyers.

Both have produced stakes winners both in Australia and New Zealand, and Home Affairs - who will have 11 of his offspring on offer at the Gold Coast - has the Champion First Season Sire title sewn up after the victory of Guest House in the G1 Golden Slipper Stakes.
The eldest crops of Zousain and Exceedance, who fill out the top five, are 4-year-olds currently.
Sons of champions is the theme amongst popular first season sires this year; Hawaii Five Oh is a son of I Am Invincible, and the other most represented stallions, Don Corleone, Shinzo, and Ozzmosis, are by Extreme Choice, Snitzel, and Zoustar respectively. Imported Aquis stallion Officiating (USA) is by Blame (USA), an elite American sire and broodmare sire.
