Session one of the April (Late) Sale grossed $1,738,050 with an 84% clearance rate.

Shares in 3-year-olds Satirically (Snitzel) and Ruination (Wootton Bassett {GB}) were popular, valuing the two horses at $400,000 and $167,000 respectively.

Two racehorses made the second equal top price at $85,000 being 2-year-old colt All On Red (Doubtland) and 3-year-old gelding Aligned (Russian Revolution).

The two top priced yearlings were purchased by All Black Racing with a Hitotsu filly making $70,000 and a Maurice filly making $55,000.

Anamoe breeding right tops the sale

A lifetime breeding right in nine-time Group 1 winner Anamoe topped session one of the April (late) Inglis Digital Sale at $450,000. The breeding right was bought by Bangalore Stud, who also spent $1.3 million to buy a share in Champion Sire Zoustar in 2024. A 1.67% share in Zoustar offered in this sale failed to meet the reserve price.

But today was all about Anamoe.

“I’ve been accruing a quality broodmare band over the past few years and as such I’m now accruing a quality bunch of stallion shares and breeding rights that work for my mares,” Bangalore Stud’s Julia Ritchie said.

“I was bidding away today in the regular increments and then I just had a mic drop moment and put in one bigger bid to try and speed up the process and it worked.

“Anamoe has done such a good job early, he’s producing popular young horses and I’m sure they’ll shine on the track later this year and into the future so I wanted to get in early and be part of the Anamoe journey.”

The young stallion, whose oldest crop are yearlings, dominated the marketplace for session one of the sale. With a yearling sale average over $400,000 across the whole 2026 season, and a top price of $1.1 million, all the good judges have demonstrated that there is plenty to love about Anamoe’s future as a stallion.

Anamoe | Standing at Darley

A Group 1 winner at two, three, and four, Anamoe has many of the credentials that people look for in a stallion prospect. An early maturing horse who trained on and was competitive in the best company and the best races, as demonstrated by his G1 Cox Plate victory. By Street Boss (USA) from Group 1 winning Redoute’s Choice mare Anamato, he has the pedigree to back up his race record.

Darley announced that Anamoe would stand at an unchanged fee of $110,000 including GST in 2026.

“Selling the Anamoe breeding right through Inglis Digital was a seamless process – their team was incredibly professional, proactive and supportive every step of the way. I’m very grateful for their expertise and reach,” said vendor John Guscic, who sold his share under the Aristia Park banner.

Racing shares sell well

Two 2.5% shares in Satirically (Snitzel) sold for $10,000 each to G Young and Pure Bred Thoroughbred Racing respectively. This values the 3-year-old colt at $400,000. He was originally sold by Widden Stud at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for $800,000 to Kia Ora, TFI, and Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott and Kestrel Thoroughbreds.

A winner on debut in February in Sydney, he has also won at Caulfield from only four starts to date.

Four separate 5% shares in dual winning 3-year-old gelding Ruination (Wootton Bassett {GB}) were sold for $9,000, $9,000, $8,500 and $8,000 respectively with a further 3.82% sold for $5,500. The total 23.82% of him sold for $40,000, valuing him at just over $167,000.

Ruination, trained by Michael Freedman, is currently spelling. He won his first two starts in the spring, then was second to future Group 1 winner Attica (Lonhro) in the Listed Ducify Stakes. Back this autumn, he has had two runs for a second to take his career to two wins from six starts and earnings over $120,000.

Form sells well with All On Red

Juvenile colt All On Red (Doubtland) won his first two races in the spring before rounding out the spring with a third. Back this autumn, he’s had one run when seventh in the Listed Supremacy Stakes. Sold by Noske Racing, he was bought by All Ahead Bloodstock for $85,000 to be the equal second-top lot of the day’s session.

The winner of two of his four starts has earnings over $142,000, and was originally a $62,500 yearling from Scenic Lodge’s Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale.

The other $85,000 sale of the day was the Peter Snowden-trained 3-year-old gelding Aligned (Russian Revolution). Winner of three of his 14 starts with earnings over $122,000, he was purchased by Archie Bloodstock. Aligned has had two runs this April for two fourths. Originally a $300,000 yearling, Aligned is the second foal of Eiffel Tower (Stratum) who is a half-sister to Listed winner Sangria (I Am Invincible).

All Black Racing buys two yearlings

The two top priced yearlings went to All Black Racing. The organisation spent $70,000 on Lot 174, a Hitotsu filly from Let’s Get Loud (NZ) (Pour Moi {Ire}).

Let’s Get Loud is a half-sister to G1 Auckland Cup winner Chenille (NZ) (Pentire {GB}) and G2 Rich Hill Mile winner, and Group 1 placed, Chintz (NZ) (Savabeel), who is the dam of G2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes winner Not An Option (Not A Single Doubt).

Their other purchase was Lot 178, spending $55,000 on the filly by Maurice (Jpn). She is the first foal of G1 Australasian Oaks winner Media Award (Shamus Award), so has considerable value even if she never races. Her second dam is minor two-time winner Media Watch (More Than Ready {USA}) who is a daughter of Listed winner Harley Ma (Shovhog).
