Blue Gum Farm has released details of its 2026 stallion roster and service fees, with Flying Artie again leading the farm’s line-up at a slightly increased fee of $14,850 inc GST, while Oxley Road will stand at a reduced fee of $5500 inc GST.
The roster is reduced by one from last season following the loss of young sire Sejardan, who died in a paddock accident in November. It marked a difficult end to the year for the farm, particularly with his first crop at the yearling stage and turning two in the upcoming season. Attention now turns to the remaining duo, combining an established sire with a developing young stallion.

Flying Artie proven and performing
A Group 1-winning sprinter, Flying Artie, he has surged to new heights off a breakout season that yielded nine stakes performers, maintaining his position among the top 20 sires in Australia.
His leading performer, Asfoora, added an international dimension to his results with wins in the G1 Nunthorpe Stakes and the G1 Prix de l’Abbaye, performances that saw her recognised as Champion European Sprinter.
My Wish has also contributed significantly in recent months, winning the G1 Champions Mile at Sha Tin. He now holds a record of seven wins from 1200 metres up to 1600 metres, with success at Group 2, Group 3 and Listed level in addition to his recent Group 1 success. His earnings sit at just over HK $42,700,000 (AU$7,500,000), reflecting his durability, quality and versatility.

Additional Group 2 success has come via the talented Chris Waller trained-Sixties who himself was a $350,000 yearling and In Flight, adding further depth to the stallion’s season across both colts and fillies.
Flying Artie has now sired three Group 1 winners - Asfoora, the Newgate Farm stallion Artorius and My Wish - and he has sired 12 stakes winners overall. His progeny have performed across a range of distances and jurisdictions, contributing to a steady level of demand from breeders.
“Flying Artie has proven himself time and again as a sire of genuine top-level performers,” said Blue Gum Farm Co-owner and Principal, Sean Dingwall.

“His ability to produce horses that can compete and win at the highest level, both here and abroad, is a huge asset for breeders. He’s a stallion that continues to deliver, and we feel this fee still represents excellent value given his results.”

Oxley Road fee adjusted ahead of first sales crop
Oxley Road will stand at a reduced fee of $5500 inc GST as his first crop approaches the sales ring.
On the track, the son of Exceed And Excel won three of his 12 starts, including the G3 Zeditave Stakes at three and the G2 Caulfield Sprint at four. He also placed at Group 1 level in the Oakleigh Plate behind Marabi (I Am Invincible), and also recorded placings in the G2 Rubiton Stakes and G3 Heath Stakes.
Trained by Peter Moody, he described Oxley Road as being, “As fast a colt as I’ve trained.”
His first foals have been noted for their strength and athletic type.

Oxley Road is out of the Listed-winning mare Bonnie Mac (NZ) (Thorn Park), who has produced three stakes winners, including G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes winner and now stallion Exceedance, as well as dual Listed-winner Mac 'N' Cheese (Sebring). Bonnie Mac is also a half-sister to three stakes winners.
“Oxley Road has been very well supported since retiring to stud, and we’ve been thrilled with the quality and consistency of his stock,” Dingwall said.
“He offers breeders access to elite speed and a proven sireline at a very accessible price point”.

With two stallions on the roster for 2026, Blue Gum Farm presents a more streamlined line-up compared to last year through the unfortunate loss of Sejardan. The farm continues to work with a mix of an established sire and a younger stallion at the early stage of his stud career, while maintaining its existing approach to breeder support and service.
