Looking Ahead highlights runners of interest across Australia and New Zealand. Whether they are an exceptionally well-bred or high-priced runner early in their career chasing maiden success, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse that has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.
Two promising youngsters by Russian Revolution and Microphone chase maiden success at Hawkesbury and Wagga on Thursday.

Rising Revolution, 3-year-old filly (Russian Revolution x Anfitriona {Host {Chi}})
The Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou-trained Rising Revolution (Russian Revolution) chases maiden success at start number two at Hawkesbury on Thursday.
The promising filly ran third on debut on the same track behind Jellicious (Snitzel) last September, and since having that break she has prepared for her resuming run with a quiet seventh at the Rosehill trials on May 11.

Rising Revolution is the fourth living-foal out of the five-time winner Anfitriona (Host {Chi}), she has started her broodmare career off well having left three winners with Rising Revolution poised to potentially join this tally at short notice.
Rising Revolution comes from the extended family of the stakes winners Acquarello (Written Tycoon), Band Of Brothers (Omaha Beach {USA}), Kulgrinda (Exceed And Excel) and the Group 2 winner and stallion Headwater.
Anfitriona, since producing Rising Revolution, has left a 2-year-old filly named Spanish Dancer (Exceedance), a yearling colt by Zousain and a weanling filly by Hawaii Five Oh, before missing to Hawaii Five Oh last spring.
Rising Revolution was purchased for $30,000 by Group One Thoroughbreds Pty Ltd and Ryan and Alexiou Racing from the Vinery Stud draft at the 2024 Inglis HTBA Yearling Sale.

Looking Back:
Infinite Sky (Hellbent) - Ran a modest eighth on debut at Warwick Farm, she should improve off that performance.
Our Huntress (NZ) (Ardrossan) - Ran an honest third at Warwick Farm.
Vallice (Maurice {Jpn}) - Was a solid winner at Sandown, he still has a bit to learn, but looks like he could develop into a 3-year-old over ground.
