Vibrant Sun thrills with over 100 bids
Over 100 bids were placed on Group 1 winner Vibrant Sun (The Autumn Sun) during Thursday’s Magic Millions Digital Sale. In the end it was Garryard Equine Pty Ltd who won their queen, paying $465,000 for her.

Sold as a maiden breeding prospect, Vibrant Sun won three of her ten starts and over $700,000. She was successful in the G3 Alexandra Stakes at Moonee Valley before winning the G1 Australasian Oaks of 2024. Initially purchased by Sheamus Mills Bloodstock and Mick Price Racing for $260,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Vibrant Sun is out of Group 3 winner Vibrant Rouge (Written Tycoon).

Vibrant Sun’s winning half-sister Yangarra Rose (Zoustar) is the dam of this season’s juvenile winner Blandford Baron (Extreme Warrior).
Geisel Park dispersal nets strong result
The unreserved dispersal of 60 lots from Western Australia’s Geisel Park netted receipts over $500,000. Leading the charge was stakes placed Duchess Of Gossip (All American) who was purchased by Boomer Bloodstock (FBAA) for $145,000.

A winner of five races, Duchess Of Gossip is carrying a pregnancy to Playing God. She is from the family of G3 Western Australia Oaks winner Dark Choice (Redoute’s Choice) and Listed Belmont Guineas victor Cohort (Scenic {Ire}).

Brae Sokolski paid $80,000 for winning mare Rosebank (Helmet) who is in foal of Playing God, and is the dam of his promising 3-year-old gelding No No No No No (Yes Yes Yes) and one other winner. Rosebank is a half-sister to G3 MRC Thousand Guineas Prelude winner Gabbidon (Bel Esprit) from the family of G1 WA Railway Stakes winner Bustler (Playing God).
Toropa popular at $360,000
Amelia Park’s broodmare prospect Toropa (Toronado {Ire}) was purchased by China Horse Club for $360,000. The Listed Jungle Dawn Classic winner was a tough racemare, winning seven times in Western Australia for earnings over $360,000.
“I went and saw Toropa at Amelia Park and was quite taken by her. She's a gun physical with a lovely pedigree and could really gallop,” China Horse Club’s Michael Smith said.

Toropa is out of Listed Twilight Glow Stakes-placed Europa Point (Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire}) whose other stakes class foal is Listed Starstruck Classic-placed La Farola (Deep Field). Another half-sister, city winner Reveille (High Chaparral {Ire}) is the dam of triple Listed winner Buckets Ridge (Pride Of Dubai). This is the family of multiple Group 1 winners Special Harmony (Spinning World {USA}) and Fangirl (Sebring).
“We are sad to see her go but we are ecstatic by the amount of competition on her,” Amelia Park Racing and Breeding Manager Sharon King said.
“From the day the sale went live I was inundated with calls and I know the Magic Millions team were too as they came and inspected her for several prospective buyers.”
Sentimental Flame strong in fourth
The equal-fourth top lot of the sale was stakes placed 5-year-old mare Sentimental Flame (Kermadec {NZ}), sold by the On Fire Syndicate to Paul Moroney Bloodstock for $80,000. Twice a winner in South Australia, she placed in the Listed Hill Smith Stakes and was fourth in the G3 South Australia Fillies Classic.
Sentimental Flame comes with ready residual value being a half-sister to this season’s G2 Western Australian Derby winner Sentimental Legend (Brutal {NZ}). The 3-year-old gelding has won four of his six starts.

Another half-brother is triple Listed winner Sentimental Hero (Al Maher) who has clocked up nine wins and over $800,000 and is still racing, having competed in the G3 Hyperion Stakes last start in mid-May.
This is the family of G1 WA Railway Stakes winner Galaxy Star (Redoute’s Choice), G2 Perth Cup winner Star Exhibit (Statue Of Liberty {USA}) and G2 Western Australian Guineas winner Perfect Jewel (Redoute’s Choice).
