Entries for the 2026 Inglis Ready2Race Sale – the auction that, in Tron Bolt (Toronado {Ire}) and Libertad (Russian Revolution), has produced two Group 1-winning colts in Australia this season – are now open.
In 2025, the sale's gross of $20,017,000 was up 28% year-on-year - market-leading growth and 158% higher than the other comparative Australian horses in training sale, which grossed $7,765,500.
The clearance rate of 81% was higher than any Australasian 2-year-old sale held in the past three years, while the median of $100,000 equalled the record for any Australasian 2YO sale ever held, which had also been set by Inglis. It was also the fifth consecutive year the Inglis Ready2Race Sale ended with the highest median of the Australasian 2-year-old sales.
The 2025 sale average of $151,644 was also the market leader for Australasia.
The likes of Chris Waller & Guy Mulcaster, Ciaron Maher, Bjorn Baker, Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, James Harron, Yulong, Hermitage, David Eustace, James Cummings, Caspar Fownes, Newgate, Bob and Liam Peters, Ricky Yiu, Archibald Racing, Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr, Lindsay Park, Triple Crown, Anthony Freedman, Olly Koolman, Upper Bloodstock, Darby Racing, Australian Bloodstock, Mark Newnham, and Clinton McDonald have been active buyers at the sale in recent years.
The growth in higher-priced lots at the Inglis Ready2Race Sale has been significant; more than half of last year’s sold catalogue realised $100,000 or more while the $900,000 top lot Tron Bolt was the highest-priced 2-year-old sold at a breeze-up sale in Australasia in 2025.

This year’s Inglis Ready2Race Sale will be held at Riverside on Thursday October 15, two days before the G1 The Everest. It will be preceded by breeze ups at Warwick Farm (Sept 25), Taupo (Sept 28) and Wangaratta (Sept 29).
Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch urged vendors to bring their best 2YOs to the Inglis Ready2Race Sale to ensure their product is being presented to the biggest and best buying bench from around the world.
“There is incredible momentum behind this sale,’’ Hutch said. “The fact that the sale has produced two Group 1-winning colts this season in Tron Bolt and Libertad is very significant, but it doesn’t tell the whole story.
"There is incredible momentum behind this sale." - Sebastian Hutch
“Year after year, we ask our vendors to support our sale with better stock, whether they are horses sourced from commercial sales or homebreds and the graduate success is there for all to see.
“Hard Kick is one of the most exciting 2-year-olds of the season having won the Listed Talindert Stakes on debut in the spring, Queen Regent won the Listed Woodlands in Scone in May, Mbube won stylishly on debut recently and of course there is Tron Bolt, all out of last year’s sale.
“The honour roll of graduates from the sale gets deeper and deeper through the likes of Rubylot, Crystal Clear, Tavi Time, Rosberg, Verdad, Title Fighter, Democracy Manifest, Libertad, et cetera.
“We are working on consolidating the best catalogue that we have ever put together for the sale in terms of the quality and profile of the stock and the feedback that we are getting from vendors is incredibly positive at this stage.”

“Throughout the yearling sales series, our team has been getting feedback from buyers, international investors in particular, that the Inglis Ready2Race Sale is a sale they want to target – they like how we do business, they like being in Sydney for The Everest and they like the horses that our sale is producing – so as long as we have the necessary stock, the buying bench will be strong.

“I would urge anyone who is planning to offer stock through a 2-year-old in training sale this spring to, at the very least, contact a member of our bloodstock team to discuss our sale and the opportunities that it presents.
“We have invested a huge amount of time, money and effort in this sale format and the momentum generated means that it has become a very significant sale on the calendar.
“We are working towards the 2026 sale being better than ever.”
