Two promising types by Tagaloa and Maurice (Jpn) chase maiden success at Moe on Friday.
Moe, Race 2, 12.45pm AEST, Total Tools Maiden Plate, $32,000, 1217m
Narilao, 3-year-old gelding (Tagaloa x Nariko {Not A Single Doubt})
The Dan Meagher-trained 3-year-old gelding Narilao (Tagaloa) chases maiden success on debut at Moe on Friday on the back of jump-out wins at Caulfield and Mornington.
Narilao is out of the four-time winner Nariko (Not A Single Doubt) who was also Listed-placed in Adelaide. She is a half-sister to the handy Another Coldie (Snitzel) who won 11 times on the track including in the Kyneton Cup.

She also comes from the family of the West Australian dual Listed-winner Magic Aces (Dr Johnson {USA}) who was also placed in the G1 West Australian Derby.
Nariko, in recent times has produced a 2-year-old colt named Zynaro (Zoustar) who has already placed on the track from only two career starts, a yearling by Pierro and was served by Written By last September.
Narilao was purchased for $70,000 by Goldfinder Equine and Colin Equine from the Fernrigg Farm at the 2024 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.

Jenni Poppins, 3-year-old filly (Maurice (Jpn) x Stelladi Natale (USA) {Tapit {USA}})
The Lloyd Kennewell-trained Jenni Poppins (Maurice {Jpn}) chases deserved maiden success at Moe on Friday. The consistent filly has placed in three of her four starts, including a sound second behind the promising Tisseyre (Maurice {Jpn}) at Sale at her last start.
Jenni Poppins is out of the unraced Tapit (USA) mare Stelladi Natale (USA), who has a pedigree full of strong American stallion influences such as Dixie Union (USA), Broad Brush (USA), A.P. Indy (USA) and Unbridled (USA).

Deeper down in the pedigree is the G1 Japanese February Stakes winner and sire Testa Matta (USA).
Stelladi Natale, in recent times has produced a 2-year-old filly named Nova Eclipse (Admire Mars {Jpn}), a yearling filly by Nicconi, and was served by Tagaloa last November.
Jenni Poppins was purchased for $60,000 by Cape Schank Stud from the Arrowfield Stud draft at the 2024 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
