In-demand Mindarie makes $355,000
Mogumber Park’s Mindarie (Safeguard) topped Wednesday’s Inglis Digital sale, where all seven of the six-figure lots were mares or race fillies. It was Robert Bavcevic who landed the winning bid at $355,000 for the 8-year-old, who has produced two juvenile stakes winners from her first two runners to the track.
“This is a big deal to us!” said Mogumber Park co-owner Fiona Lacey said. “It’s the highest-priced horse we’ve ever sold, but it’s not just the amount, it’s that she is by our stallion, she was born on our property, we raced her, her foals were born here and her dam Clarecastle was virtually a blue hen in Western Australia, so she is WA through and through.

“So, to see her top a sale and draw so many bids from interstate was special for us.”
A fast metropolitan winner at two herself, her first foal is Do I Feel Lucky (Dirty Work), who won the R. Listed Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic and has earned over $300,000 to date. Her second foal, Maria Lucia (Rommel), won the same 2YO Classic race before running second in the G3 WA Gimcrack Stakes this season.
“When we first entered into this journey, Sinead Flannery advised us on a value and let’s just say she was bang on,” Mogumber's Colin Brown added. “She also advised us to put her on the market early and she was bang on again.
“We cannot speak highly enough of the process and the support that Inglis – particularly Sinead – gave us. Sinead held our hand the whole way through, she took every phone call no matter what time and answered every question, she made us feel relaxed.
“It’s hard to let her (Mindarie) go as it’s an end of an era for us with the family, however financially it was the right decision. We wish the new owner every success with her, she’s only an 8-year-old and has already thrown two 2-year-old stakes winners. She deserves every opportunity at stud.
“We will celebrate with a bottle of champagne tonight!”

Mindarie is out of the four-time winner and multiple Group 3-placed mare Clarecastle (Tribu), who has left nine winners, including the Listed Perth Stakes winner Castle Road (Safeguard) and a further three stakes performers in Specialism (Safeguard), Royal Strata (Stratum), and More Special (Safeguard).
Clarecastle’s stakes-performed dam Colorado Belle (Santa Brae) was a half-sister to G1 Karrakatta Plate victor Dynamic Beau (Dynamo {NZ}).
“I quite enjoyed the bidding duel, I was trying to work out the tactics on how to beat the underbidders because she was a mare I really wanted to get," Bavcevic said. "Her credentials are very strong."
Mindarie has an Awesome Rock weanling colt and was offered empty after not being served last season.
Corumbene snap up Summer Success
Corumbene Stud sprung for the joint second top lot in this week’s Inglis Digital, when outlaying $190,000 for Summer Success (NZ) (Savabeel). The unraced half-sister to G2 Emancipation Stakes winner Promise Of Success (NZ) (Dansili {GB}) was offered by Riversdale on behalf of her owner in foal to Stay Inside.
Descending from a half-sister to Urban Sea (Ire) (Miswaki {USA}), making this the close family of Galileo (Ire), Sea The Stars (Ire), Anabaa Blue (USA), and three-time Group 1 winner Los Angeles (Ire) (Camelot {GB}), Summer Success’s first foal is a Farnan colt who sold for $200,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in January.

The seven six-figure lots in this week's sale takes Inglis Digital's number of $100,000-plus lots sold on the platform since the start of 2025 to 193.
Pivotal Ten remains in Cambridge Stud hands
The talented 3-year-old filly Pivotal Ten (NZ) (Ten Sovereigns {Ire}) was offered by Cambridge Stud in order to dissolve a partnership and they ended up buying back the filly for $190,000.
A winner of five races from just eight starts, Pivotal Ten showed plenty of talent throughout her career, winning three stakes races on the bounce in the South Island as a 3-year-old.

She has a tidy international pedigree being out of the unraced Pivotal (GB) mare Lady Woodcote (GB) who has left five winners, including three-time winner and Listed-placed Woodcote Lass (NZ) (Showcasing {GB}).
Lady Woodcote is a full-sister to the 14-time winner and French Group 1-winning sprinter Maarek (GB) (Pivotal (GB}). The family also includes the likes of last year’s G1 British Champions Sprint Stakes Powerful Glory (Ire) (Cotai Glory {GB}).
Better Than Ready share sells for $40,000
A 1.25% share in leading Queensland sire Better Than Ready proved popular in this week’s Inglis Digital sale when selling for $40,000 to Anderson TBs. Offered by Fleetwood, the share’s price values the stallion at approximately $3.2 million.
The son of More Than Ready (USA) is currently about to close his fourth consecutive season in the top 20 sires in Australia, with earnings this season of over $10 million and 123 winners.
