Looking Ahead highlights runners of interest across Australia and New Zealand. Whether they are an exceptionally well-bred or high-priced runner early in their career chasing maiden success, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse that has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.

It all about the 2-year-olds on Saturday as progeny by Home Affairs and Russian Revolution go head-to-head at Rosehill, and a beautifully bred Street Boss (USA) filly looks to remain unbeaten at Flemington.

Internal Affairs, 2-year-old colt (Home Affairs x Kononkop (Arg) {Pure Prize {USA}})

Internal Affairs (Home Affairs) is chasing his second win at his fourth start at Rosehill on Saturday over 1200 metres for trainer Brad Widdup.

He was an impressive winner last start at Hawkesbury and looks to go back-to-back as he chases valuable prize money that may propel his outstanding young sire Home Affairs to Champion 2-year-old sire for this season to go along with his assured first-season sire title.

Internal Affair’s dam is Kononkop (Arg) (Pure Prize {USA}) who was a Champion 2-year-old filly in Argentina, and was a four-time winner including twice at Group 1 level.

Kononkop is a half-sister to Koller (Arg) (Orpen {USA}) who was a three-time Group 2 winner in Argentina, and she is out of Korea (USA) (Southern Halo {USA}) who won four times, including at Listed level in Argentina.

Since producing Internal Affairs, Kononkop has produced a yearling colt by Home Affairs, and was served by City Of Troy (USA) last September after missing to Tassort the season before.

Seeiaye, 2-year-old gelding (Russian Revolution x Blue Blazors {I Am Invincible})

The consistent Seeiaye (Russian Revolution) chases success at Rosehill on Saturday for trainer Peter Snowden. While the Russian Revolution gelding hasn't won since winning on debut at Newcastle, he has been running consistently, including a strong second behind the exciting Omolong (Extreme Choice) on the same track last time out.

He is the second foal out of Blue Blazers (I Am Invincible), who was unraced, but is a full sister to Super One, Singapore’s Champion 2-year-old colt who later claimed Group 3 honours in Australia before retiring to stud.

Another notable half sibling is the sharp speedster Super Too (Hinchinbrook), a five-time winner up to 1000 metres and placed three times at Group level.

Blue Blazers has since produced a yearling filly by Artorius, a weanling filly by Farnan and was left empty last season.

Seeiaye was initially purchased by Musk Creek Farm for $27,500 from the Fairhill Farm draft at the 2024 Inglis Australian Weanling Sale, before being secured by Capri Racing & Syndication and Peter Snowden for $65,000 when re-offered by Musk Creek Farm at the 2025 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Panchenko, 2-year-old filly (Street Boss (USA) x Oscietra {Exceed And Excel})

The beautifully-bred Panchenko (Street Boss {USA}) makes her second start at Flemington on Saturday for Team Hawkes. The sharply-bred filly looked very talented winning on debut at Bendigo by just over five lengths on a heavy track and she looks to back-up that effort as she attempts to stay unbeaten.

Panchenko is the fourth foal out of the dual-winning Exceed And Excel mare Oscietra. Who is out of the Champion unbeaten mare Black Caviar (Bel Esprit).

As well as having the Champion mare as her second dam, other illustrious members of the family include the stallions and Group 1 winners All Too Hard, Nepotism and Ole Kirk, and the Group 3 winner Gimmie Par (Not A Single Doubt).

Oscietra, in recent times has left an Anamoe yearling colt and was served last September by Private Life.
