This week's Magic Millions Digital Sale was topped by a 5% share in multiple stakes winner Within The Law (Lucky Vega {Ire}), which sold to Yulong for $70,000. A total of 29 lots changed hands for a gross of $297,150.
The second top lot was stakes-performed Kimberley Rose (Hellbent), who realised $50,000 to the bid of Yarradale Stud.
Magic Millions can reveal that their next Digital sale will feature the first half of an unreserved dispersal from Forest View Farm, featuring mares in foal to Anamoe and Toronado (Ire).
Yulong buy more of Within The Law
The offering of a 5% share in the exciting and proven filly Within The Law (Lucky Vega {Ire}) proved to be the most popular lot in this week’s Magic Millions Digital Sale, and it was Yulong Investments, who originally bred and sold Within The Law, that placed the winning bid at $70,000, generating an estimated value for the filly of $1.4 million.
"It was an outstanding result given that she is currently spelling and getting ready for her Spring campaign," said Loren Wadsworth, Racing Manager for Darby Racing, who offered the share on behalf of a client.
"We have always found the process of offering shares through Magic Millions Digital very straightforward and it was great that they achieved this result for our clients."

Originally a $30,000 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale purchase for Darby Racing, the Bjorn Baker-trained Within The Law earned over $1 million in her 2-year-old season, thanks to victories in the R. Listed Inglis 2YO Banner, R. Listed Inglis Nursery, and G2 Sweet Embrace Stakes. She also placed in the R. Listed Inglis Millennium and G2 Percy Sykes Stakes, and concluded the season running second to Nepotism (Brutal {NZ}) in the G1 Champagne Stakes.
As a 3-year-old, she has racked up four more placings at Group level, including a gallant second in the G1 Flight Stakes to Apocalyptic (Extreme Choice). She was sent to the paddock after a sixth-placed finish in the G3 Winx Guineas at the beginning of the month.
Previous sales of shares via the Magic Millions Digital and Inglis Digital platforms late last year have valued the filly at $1.4 million and $1.6 million respectively, with Yulong and Will Stroud buying into the filly.
Another popular share was a 2.5% share in G2 Ajax Stakes winner Cristal Clear (Exceedance), which sold for $10,000 to Graham Young for an estimated valuation of $250,000. The 4-year-old is currently in pre-training ahead of a spring campaign that likely features the G1 Epsom Handicap and the $3 million Big Dance.
Fierce competition for Kimberley Rose
Stakes-performed 4-year-old mare Kimberley Rose (Hellbent) was the second top lot in Wednesday’s Magic Millions Digital sale, where she was offered by S J Miller Racing as a broodmare proposition. Thirty nine bids later, she went the way of Yarradale Stud, who secured the Listed Belmont Oaks placegetter for $50,000.
“She is a very good looking black type mare from a family that Yarradale knows well,” said Davy Hanratty of Yarradale Stud. The mare’s family is one that the stud knows well.
“Her dam Ambers Waltz is a half-sister to Group 2 winner War Saint that Yarradale bred and owned. She will visit Playing God this upcoming breeding season."

Kimberley Rose was a three-time winner from 1300 metres up to 2200 metres up to metropolitan level. She is the best performed of seven winners out of juvenile winner and multiple Group performer Ambers Waltz (Danehill Dancer {Ire}).
Ambers Waltz is a half-sister to the G2 West Australian Guineas winner War Saint (War Chant {USA}) and the G3 Lord Reims Stakes and Listed Moonee Valley Night Cup winner Taiyoo (Haradasun). Her dam Ambers Halo (Don’t Say Halo {USA}) scored 11 times on the track, with a trio of stakes wins highlighted by the G3 Hyperion Stakes.
Broodmare prospects were once again very popular in the catalogue as the breeding season grows ever closer, with the third top lot being 10-year-old Just So (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who sold for $40,000 to Chris Baro.

Offered empty after arriving in Australia last December, she is a half-sister to G1 Eclipse Stakes winner Mukhadram (GB) (Shamardal {USA}) and the dam of G1 Randwick Guineas winner Linebacker (NZ) (Super Seth).
Forest View Farm dispersal headlines end of July sale
Entries are now open for the next Magic Millions Digital Sale, which will take place on July 31 to August 5, and will close at midnight on Wednesday, July 29. Already locked in for the catalogue is multiple stakes winner Niance (NZ) (Swiss Ace), plus the first half of an unreserved dispersal for leading West Australian nursery Forest View Farm. The farm’s graduates include the five-time Group winner Super Smink (Super One), dual stakes winner Buzzoom (Safeguard), and Group-performed nine-time winner Filthy Habits (I’m All The Talk).

The dispersal will be offered over the next two Magic Millions Digital sales, and will include racing stock, yearlings, weanlings, and shares, as well as mares in foal to Anamoe, Toronado (Ire), Pinatubo (Ire), and Playing God.
