Myhro’s Ruler, 2-year-old gelding (Wild Ruler x Myhro {Lonhro})
The John McArdle-trained Myhro’s Ruler (Wild Ruler) makes his second start at Echuca over 1000 metres on Friday. He had one start in March in the Listed St Albans Stakes where he ran down the track in sixth place, but since then he has had a break and two smart jump-out wins to prepare himself for his resuming run.
Myhro’s Ruler is the fifth foal out of Myhro (Lonhro) who was a winner over 1200 metres. She has already left four winners, with the best of them being the three-time winner Everstar (Epaulette).

Myhro is a half-sister to the Listed winner Snitz (Snitzel) and the five-time winner and Listed-placed Eye Of The Eagle (Alpine Eagle). The grandam of Myhro’s Ruler is the Group 2 winner Tickle My (Perugino {USA}), while the classy Group 2 winner and Group 1-placed I’ll Have A Bit (Smart Missile) also features within the extended pedigree.
Myhro, in recent times has left a Home Affairs weanling colt and is due to foal to Bodyguard in November.
Myhro’s Ruler was passed in short of his $40,000 reserve at the Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale.

Tengun Tango, 3-year-old filly (Ole Kirk x Modern Dance (NZ) {All Too Hard})
The Tony Gollan-trained Tengun Tommy (Ole Kirk) makes her debut at Ipswich on Friday over 1200 metres. She has shown a bit of talent at the trials, including winning her last one at Doomben over 1000 metres by just under two lengths.
Tengun Tommy is out of the unplaced All Too Hard mare Modern Dance (NZ), who is a half-sister to the six-time Hong Kong winner and Group 3-placed Flying Ace (NZ) (Swiss Ace) and the eight-time winner and Group 3-placed One More Daisy.

This is also the family of the Group 3 and Listed-winning sprinter and sire Shrewd Rhythm, the Group 2-winner Blur (Flying Spur) and the Group-winning filly Talkanco (I’m All The Talk).
Modern Dance, in recent times has left a 2-year-old filly by Zousain and is due to foal to Star Turn in early August.
Tengun Tango was purchased for $60,000 by Paul Nugent from the Westbury Stud draft at the 2024 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale

Sardar (Wootton Bassett {GB}) - Ran an improvers fourth at Wyong, he ran on solidly enough and he looks like he will enjoy getting over a bit more ground as a 3-year-old.
