“Napoleonic has come through the Missile Stakes really well, running a strong second behind Ninja, it was a strong race and a strong performance and Ninja has actually beat him twice now.
“He has a lot of good credentials for a stud career and is knocking on the door, we may look at a race like the Manikato in about seven weeks.”
“We are optimistic that he has plenty of good days ahead of him.”

“King Pedro is back in the stable. He will likely have a first up run in the Kingston Town and then onto the Metropolitan second-up. Potentially from there he may have a trip down to Melbourne.
“There was plenty of merit in his last couple of wins, and at Grafton nothing went right for him and he managed to win after overcoming a really tricky position in running. He is a very progressive horse and we've got high hopes for him.

“Linebacker will also likely trial on the 21st of this month, at the moment we don’t have any real set firm plans but he could be a horse we work towards the Alan Brown and possibly the Five Diamonds Prelude.

“Roselyn’s Star has had a couple of weeks ticking over at the beach in between runs after his win in the July Sprint.
“He's going to have a trial at Rosehill on the 21st of August and then he'll likely go to the Concorde Stakes over 1000 metres.”

“Mr Chaplin is quite a nice horse, he won the South Grafton Cup last preparation and he'll probably trial towards the end of this month with a view to target the Big Dance and maybe a Five Diamond, those kind of races.”

“Coco Affair was very good winning last time out, we will probably run her midweek on the 26th of August and we will hopefully give consideration to some stakes races a bit later in the carnival.”

“Scintillation will probably run the Quezette this weekend down in Melbourne. Hopefully we can win a black type race this preparation, she is going very well.”

“Satono Glow is going very well, she will have her first trial back this Friday and then there are obviously lots of races for her. Whether we land in The Furious potentially, but we will get through the trial first as there are plenty of options.
“We may leave her a bit longer as there are plenty of fillies races down in Melbourne, towards the end of the Carnival as well.
“She's naturally a very sharp filly but pedigree sort of suggests she could step to 1400 metres and maybe a touch further. She was probably a bit unlucky to not be unbeaten as a 2-year-old after having no luck in the Percy Sykes, we will never know but I think she could have gone close.
“But we are looking forward to seeing her back.”

“Stitzer looks a very nice staying prospect. He'll probably get started in the maiden at Kembla Grange on Saturday over 1400 metres, and he's one that you can look out for once he gets to sort of 2000 metres and maybe beyond.
“Ideally he might be a horse we can work towards some of those nice staying 3-year-old races over the carnival, he will keep improving with racing. He is a nice prospect.”

“Peyton has come back well, he has his second trial on Friday, and then he will be off to the races. He is quite promising.”

“He is going well, he will trial in about a month. We have no grand plans with him at this stage.”

“Pin Up Sheila was two out of two as a 2-year-old, she will miss the early spring but may be ready at the end of September. There are a few options we can look towards with her in October and then into November, hopefully at stakes level.”

“Mindgames is back in the stable, he missed a week with a foot abscess recently but he looks a nice one for a mile plus a bit later in the preparation. No exact targets at the moment, but he is a nice horse.

“Seminal is another nice unraced 3-year-old filly that we like, she will have her second trial this time in on Friday, and she looks like she has something to offer.”

Charlton mentioned it was very early to pick out any of the stable's 2-year-olds to know where they are really at. “There aren't a lot of real early types and we don't put much pressure on early, but a few will do a bit more work in the next couple of weeks.”

“We have a full sister to Saltaire who we won the Nursery with as a 2-year-old. We purchased her from the Classic Sale, she might be one of our more forward ones in the stable.”
