Older horses
Changing Colours, 6-year-old mare (The Autumn Sun x Cleanup {Dehere {USA}})
“Changing Colours is a lovely mare, the long-term goal with her is obviously to get black type but we also more importantly just want to keep her confidence up.
“For her next start there are a couple of options, we could go to a race like the Let’s Elope and there are lots of other good mares races, she also is Magic Millions eligible so at some stage we may give her a freshen up and aim that way.

“She has been running very well over that 1400-metre to 1600-metre mark and we will probably keep her around that mark but I see no reason into the future why we couldn’t stretch her out a bit further, longer term she could get 1800 or 2000 metres.”
“She can be a quirky girl, but the aim is to keep her happy and keep her running well and we will take it one run at a time.”
Invincible Woman, 4-year-old mare (I Am Invincible x Showcase {Big Brown {USA}})
“She is a lovely girl, she has had some issues with her throat, so we have had to give her a spell and have a procedure on that. She is in pre-training at the moment with Hope Racing in Seymour, Blake’s family, Lee and Shannon do such a great job, they pre-train a lot of our horses for us. She's scheduled to come into the stables on Saturday.
“She is also Magic Millions eligible so if she performs well, we can always take her up there to the carnival.

“But I just want to get her winning again. She's obviously only won one race and she's been running very well in good form races, but we probably just have to aim low with her, hopefully get her winning again and then we can sort of take it race by race.
“She would be very valuable if we can get black type with her and hopefully this little procedure she's had on her throat should help her accomplish that. But we will go slowly and go one step at a time.
“Her owners are great, it’s an all-female group of owners and they just want the best thing by the horse. They have been very supportive and patient.”
Parvati Party (NZ), 7-year-old mare (Complacent x Parvati (NZ) {Savabeel})
“She raced yesterday and it really didn’t go to plan, she went a bit quick but she seems to have pulled up well and her form prior was very consistent.
“She is a real favourite of the stable, we purchased her for $15,000 online and she has won in town and ran so gallantly at Flemington where she was only just run down.

“The plan with her is to get her to those 2800-metre races, even two miles, there is one on Melbourne Cup day that would really suit, it’s obviously still two months away so we will be guided by how she is going, but if she needs a break we will give her a break.
“If all is well with her we will probably run her again in three or four weeks over 2400 metres with the aim of targeting that Cup Day race.”
3-year-olds
Darn Tootin’, 3-year-old filly (Profiteer x Southern Girl {More Than Ready {USA}})
“She is a lovely filly, I like her a lot.
“I bought her when I was still in partnership with Lloyd (Kennewell) from the Inglis HTBA yearling sale and put some really good clients in her. She was only cheap at $22,000.
“She has been hard work early, I sent her to Julien Welsh at Booralite Park and they have done an incredible job with her. Also my owners have been fantastic and very patient listening to us saying she will be okay just give her time.

“She has trialled up very nicely, I actually owned 15% of her and I thought I didn’t need to own that so I put some good clients in after the trial and they went very quickly.
“She's gone to the paddock, she just pulled up a little shin sore after her official Caulfield trial, we could have pushed her through, but I am all about giving them the time they need and trying to get winners.
“She has had about three weeks in the paddock and will go to the pre-trainers in about two weeks so that is exciting. We will probably aim quite low and build her confidence, but Blake rode her at the trials and thinks she has midweek ability at least.”
Attention Please, 3-year-old filly (Microphone x Blazing Babe {Pierro})
“I bought her at the same time as Darn Tootin’ for only $12,000 and they're from the same sale. Kariba Racing and myself identified her and purchased her.
“She has been pre-training at the beach with Lyn Tolson and Leonie Proctor and is probably two to three weeks off joining us back at the Cranbourne stable.

“I thought she was very brave running second on debut, she just did a lot wrong, was a bit green and raw and got run down by a horse with race day experience.
“But she's always been very natural and has nice ability. She is another good example of proving that we can provide affordable horses that we can have fun racing.
“I may start her off in something low like a country maiden and try and work through the grades but I think she's got at least midweek ability as well and I’m looking forward to getting her back in.”

“They have shown us a lot and will come back to work in about a month's time, they have great attitudes and I like them.
“All of our horses have been broken in by Adrian Corboy and he does such a good job. I have a nice young team and I really like them, so it’s quite exciting to look at what could be ahead for the stable.”
