Jourama, 3-year-old gelding (Frosted (USA) x Spring Waterfall (Ire) {Exceed And Excel})
The Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained Jourama (Frosted {USA}) chases maiden success at start number four on Tuesday at Moe.
He ran a very nice race for second on debut at Newcastle behind She’s Extra (Exceedance) back in February and then ran a strong fourth in the $1 million Vobis Showdown in March behind Big Wigs (Gold Standard) at Caulfield.
He resumed with a solid enough fifth at Bairnsdale resuming and should have taken good improvement from that effort.

Jourama is the fourth foal out of Spring Waterfall (Ire) (Exceed And Excel), she was a winner in France and is a half-sister to the Champion filly Miss Finland (Redoute’s Choice).
It is a very strong family, with another Group 1 winner featuring in Miss Finland’s daughter Stay With Me (Street Cry {Ire}).
In recent years, Spring Waterfall has produced an Earthlight (Ire) yearling filly, and produced a Victor Ludorum (GB) colt last month.

Chatoyer (NZ), 3-year-old filly (Noverre (NZ) x Candelabra (NZ) {Pins})
The Annabel and Rob Archibald-trained Chatoyer (NZ) (Noverre {NZ}) makes her debut at Muswellbrook on Tuesday on the back of three educational trials in recent months.
Chatoyer is out of the well-bred Pins mare Candelabra (NZ) (Pins), she is a full sister to the Listed-placed Roop All (NZ) (Pins) and a half-sister to the seven-time winner and G1 New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders' Stakes winner Diademe (NZ) (Savabeel) and the G1 2000 Guineas winner and successful Cambridge Stud-based stallion Embellish (NZ).

This is also the extended family of the dual New Zealand Group 1-winning sprinter Sacred Star (Flying Spur).
Since producing Chatoyer, Candelabra has left a 2-year-old filly by Noverre (NZ) and a yearling colt by Ardrossan before she sadly died.
Chatoyer was purchased for $140,000 by Neasham and Archibald Racing and William Johnson Bloodstock (FBAA) from the Waikato Stud draft at the 2025 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
