Geelong is the venue where an exciting Hello Youmzain (Fr) 3-year-old filly named Youmzaa (NZ) chases maiden success in the famous Cambridge Stud colours of Sir Brendan and Lady Jo Lindsay.
Matt Laurie trains the filly who made a very good debut at Bendigo earlier in the month when running second behind the promising Over The Bridge (Toronado {Ire}). With natural improvement, she looks very hard to beat in this race in the hands of jockey Patrick Moloney.
Youmzaa is out of the winning O’Reilly (NZ) mare Critical Angel (NZ), who was also placed in the G3 Vanity Stakes. She is a half-sister to the dam of the smart 2-year-old Wolverine (NZ) (Tivaci), who was a dual Group-2 winner as a juvenile and Group 1 placed.
This is also the extended family of the Group 1 winning and producing stallions Ocean Park (NZ) and Grunt (NZ).
Critical Angel in recent times has left an Almanzor (Fr) yearling colt and is due to foal to Mr Mozart this spring.
Youmzaa was passed in short of her NZ$50,000 reserve at the 2025 New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale.

Movie Star, 3-year-old filly (Maurice (Jpn) x She’s Clean {Redoute’s Choice})
The Chris Waller-trained Movie Star (Maurice {Jpn}) chases maiden success at Warwick Farm on Wednesday at start number four.
The Ingham Racing-owned filly that wears the familiar cerise colours has ran two very solid placings at Wyong to start her career, and a solid enough fourth on the Kensington last time out after settling well back in the field.
Movie Star is out of the 10-time winner She’s Clean (Redoute’s Choice) who was successful at Group 3 level and Listed level twice. She has also done a job at stud leaving the $2.5 million earner and Group 2 winner Robusto (Churchill {Ire}).
This is also the extended family of the G1 Doncaster Handicap and G1 Queen Of The Turf winner Nettoyer (Sebring) and the Group 1 Oaks winning Redoute’s Choice pair of Abbey Marie and Absolutely.
Since producing Movie Star, She’s Clean has left a 2-year-old colt by Justify (USA) named Mr Clean before she was retired from stud.

Pin Up Sheila, 3-year-old filly (Pinatubo (Ire) x Sheilarized {Authorized {Ire}})
The exciting Pin Up Sheila (Piantubo {Ire}) resumes at Warwick Farm on Wednesday as she looks to add to her unbeaten two start 2-year-old record, with her first start as a 3-year-old for her trainers John O’Shea and Tom Charlton.
She won her two starts at Canterbury and Warwick Farm as a 2-year-old impressively and since having a break, she has trialled twice at Randwick in preparation for her resuming run.
Pin Up Sheila is one of four winners from five to race for Sheilarized (Authorized {Ire}), who won twice up to 1600 metres in her own racing career.
Sheilarized is a half-sister to the Listed winner Office Bearer (Officer {USA}) and her second dam is G1 Turffontein Star Sprint winner Super Sheila (Last Tycoon {Ire}).
Sheilarized’s Jacquinot 2-year-old colt was purchased by John Foote Bloodstock (FBAA) this year for $140,000 at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, she has a St Mark’s Basilica (Fr) yearling filly and was left empty last breeding season.
Pin Up Sheila was purchased by D and M Esplin for $50,000 from the Widden Stud draft at the 2025 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
