Looking Ahead highlights runners of interest across Australia and New Zealand. Whether they are an exceptionally well-bred or high-priced runner early in their career chasing maiden success, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse that has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.
On Tuesday, a duo at Kilmore catch the eye as potential winners. The daughter of a Derby winner looks poised to make it third time lucky, and a filly by Proisir finds her feet on debut.

Full Confidence, 3-year-old filly (I Am Invincible x Qafila {Not a Single Doubt})
Tony and Calvin McEvoy will have 'full confidence' in their filly third up after Full Confidence (I Am Invincible) came from near the tail at the 400-metre mark to finish fourth last start by a length and a quarter. She was third on debut but found the 1200 metres a touch short, whereas the 1400-metre plus range looks to suit.
This filly should improve further out in distance, given her dam Qafila (Not A Single Doubt) was a G1 South Australin Derby winner. Qafila's three-quarter-sister Musandam (Snitzel) has kept the family rolling, having won the Listed Maribyrnong Trial this spring.

Their dam Zighy Bay (USA) (Tapit {USA}) is a half-sister to G1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen winner Mozu Superflare (USA) (Speightstown {USA}) and a three-quarter-sister to G3 Old Hat Stakes winner Sacristy (USA) (Pulpit {USA}), who has produced Listed winner and G1 Santa Anita Oaks runner-up Flor De La Mar (USA) (Tiznow {USA}) and Listed winner Catiche (USA) (Arrogate {USA}).
Another of Sacristy's daughters is the dam of this year's G3 Mint Julep Stakes winner Sweet Treasure (USA) (Twirling Candy {USA}).
Breeder Jonathan Munz retained Full Confidence to race under his Pinecliff Racing banner, but he did part with her I Am Invincible half-sister in January at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, where Waller Racing and Mulcaster Bloodstock paid $1.25 million for her.
Zighy Bay delivered a colt by Zoustar last spring before going back to I Am Invincible.

Prolocutor (NZ), 3-year-old filly (Proisir x Emcee (NZ) {Darci Brahma {NZ}})
On debut for Lindsey Smith, Prolocutor (NZ) (Proisir) takes aim over the sprint trip in Kilmore's second event after a pair of trials. Damien Lane sticks on from her last trial, where she finished last without being left in the dust by horses with a greater turn of foot over the 1000 metres.
Prolocutor is the latest foal out of Emcee (NZ) (Darci Brahma {NZ}), an unraced granddaughter of G1 Auckland Cup victress Royal Tiara (NZ) (Blanco {NZ}). Her Group-performed daughter Diamond Hill (NZ) (Danehill {USA}) is the dam of G3 Taranaki 2YO Classic winner Ransom Express - Fair Comment (Mac) (NZ) (Red Ransom).

Prolocutor was a NZ$90,000 New Zealand Thoroughbred National Yearling Sale purchase for majority owner Mr B Spicer. Emcee visited Ribchester (Ire) last spring.
