Confederation’s racetrack record drives $205,000 result
Confederation (Wootton Bassett {GB}) proved popular with buyers, with his proven ability at Group level and remaining upside as a racehorse making him an attractive proposition.
A Group-placed performer at both two and three, having finished in the placings in the G3 Canonbury Stakes and G3 Vain Stakes, the colt offered buyers the opportunity to secure a tried horse with the potential to progress through the grades while remaining eligible for maiden races.
Sandhurst landed the colt for $205,000, making him the sale-topper.
Confederation is out of the Listed winner Pretty Fast (Not A Single Doubt), a sister to Doubtland and closely related to Group 1-winning sprinter My Gladiola (I Am Invincible) and the R. Listed Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Unit Five (Supido).

The colt was offered by the Coolmore Colts Syndicate, which has presented numerous quality horses in training in recent years, including Group 1 winners Caballus (I Am Invincible) and Cap Ferrat (Snitzel), G3 winner Zarastro (I Am Invincible) and multiple winner and Group 2-placed Imperial Force (Snitzel).
Speaking on behalf of the Coolmore Colts Syndicate, Brian McGuire said interest in Confederation and First Act had been strong, with enquiries coming from both domestic and international buyers.
“We were inundated with enquiries on Confederation and First Act from prospective buyers both here and internationally.
“We’re very happy with the results, I believe both will remain racing in Australia for their new connections who we wish the very best of luck to.’’

She’s Supreme shares find favour at $400,000 valuation
Two individual 2.5% shares in the exciting 2-year-old She’s Supreme (Exceedance) sold for $10,000 each to ML Thoroughbreds, valuing the filly at approximately $400,000.
The sale provided buyers with an opportunity to secure a share in a Group 3-placed 2-year-old who announced her precocity with a placing in the G3 ATC Gimcrack Stakes at Randwick on debut.
She’s Supreme is now being aimed at the $400,000 Listed Inglis Banner at Flemington on November 7.

Connections were pleased with the result, with Marc Conners saying the valuation reflected both the filly’s potential and the market’s confidence in her future.
“It’s been a really good result, she’s got plenty of upside and while we hoped for a figure around that mark, you never really know so it’s very satisfying to see,’’ Conners said.

“Between Mary Anne (Bozsity) at Inglis and us, we worked toward that $400,000 valuation and the market agreed with us today. She’s untapped at the moment this filly, she’s going toward the next two Inglis races in the Banner and then hopefully the Nursery over the next two months.
"They are both really big prizemoney races so if she can run a hole or win one of them, it’s job done to an extent with her and then we can look to the autumn and really hope she aims up.’’
She’s Supreme is out of the 1000 metre winner Absolemn (Pierro), a half-sister to Group 2 winner and dual Group 1-placed stallion Glenfiddich, and is also related to the sharp Listed-winning 2-year-old Scenic Point (Written Tycoon).

Blue Gum and Hedge secure Queen Of Clubs for $155,000
Well-bred mares with black type in their pedigrees remain in demand, and Queen Of Clubs was another to attract strong interest, with Blue Gum Farm and Suman Hedge Bloodstock (FBAA) joining forces to secure the Maurice (Jpn) filly for $155,000.
The purchase offers a dual-purpose opportunity, with Queen Of Clubs retaining the potential to add to her racetrack record before eventually heading to the breeding barn.

She has shown plenty of class throughout her career, making her debut in the G3 Gimcrack Stakes before winning in city grade as a 2-year-old. She later finished third in the G2 Silver Shadow Stakes behind Savvy Hallie (Hellbent) and fourth in the G2 Tea Rose Stakes behind Apocalyptic (Extreme Choice).
Her pedigree also provides plenty of appeal for a future stud career, she is out of an unraced Redoute’s Choice mare who is a half-sister to French Group 1 winner and sire French Fifteen (Fr), as well as a French Listed winner.
Toronado colt leads the charge among unexposed juveniles
While the Inglis Online Sale is perhaps better known for its tried horses, two unexposed 2-year-olds attracted significant attention on Wednesday.
A Toronado (Ire) full-brother to Tron Bolt sold to X Bloodstock for $200,000, while a Zoustar 2-year-old colt offered by Headline Thoroughbreds as part of its dispersal was purchased by Monarch Racing for $145,000.
Both colts boast strong pedigrees, with the Toronado colt particularly appealing as a brother to a Group 1-winning 2-year-old. He is out of Baccarat Baby (Casino Prince), a winner at Group 3 and Listed level who is a 3-quarter-sister to G2 The Roses winner Philia (All Too Hard) and a half-sister to three-time Group 1 winner Duais (Shamus Award).

X Bloodstock’s Kevin Sin said a decision on the colt’s trainer would be made in the coming days.
“It’s a lovely family, we liked Tron Bolt at the Inglis Ready2Race Sale last year but didn’t have enough money to buy him and obviously he’s gone on to be a Group 1-winning colt,’’ Sin said.
“We think this colt is going to make a very nice racehorse and we hope he’s up to his brother’s standards.

"He is an unexposed talent with the right temperament and constitution from a well-related family.
“He will stay in Australia for the time being, we will make a call in the next couple of days who will train him and all of that. One option is to get him up to Hong Kong eventually to race but we’re also happy to keep him in Australia, we just need to find out what’s under the bonnet first.’’

The Zoustar colt is out of a German Group 3-placed mare by Soldier Hollow (GB), who comes from a strong international family with plenty of depth.
Both colts have been broken in and are ready to take the next steps in their education, making them two prospects to follow as they progress towards the racetrack.
Undercovered brings $125,000
Stay Inside has made a successful start to his stud career, with Undercovered, an unraced 3-year-old from his first crop, selling for $125,000 to AK Select.
Offered by Ciaron Maher Racing, Undercovered remains unraced but has shown promise at the trials, winning his latest outing at Rosehill last month by just over a length and a half over 1030 metres.

The colt is out of three-time winner Dream Kisses (Dream Ahead {USA}), who was also Listed-placed twice. His grandam, Kiss Me Katy (Mull Of Kintyre {USA}), was a smart juvenile, winning four times at two, including the Listed Sir Douglas Wadley Handicap, before placing at three in the G3 San Domenico Stakes.
